I'd love to know what avenues are being explored right now by Ainge. We all know he's not stupid and the loss of Horford is tough to swallow.

However given our past of skilled big men...I am not sure what to think.

Meyers is a little inconsistent for me.. I don’t think he is a strong Defender.. shoots the three ball tho

That strategy may work on Embiid to a certain extent since he isn't that great of a post-up scorer but he gets a lot of his value on defense. Unfortunately, with Giannis if you don't try stop him with a lot of respect for his game, IMO he is capable of averaging over 50 points per game for an entire series. Toronto contained him but they not only had guards as first line of defense, Leonard and others as 2nd line of defense but they had their bigs helping out.

Giannis will just drive to the basket relentlessly way too much if you don't defend him very seriously so teams without a great defender to match up on him 1 on 1 have no choice. Even Toronto wasn't willing to have Leonard try to guard Giannis 1 on 1. They were just using Leonard and other players to slow him up and then bigs/other players could help out. Giannis has some flaws but those flaws only become issues when you put the personnel on the court to slow up his drives.

Dubs gave up a first round pick apparently for the DLo S&T.
