But you really wanna judge a guy on his worst days, when he's been solid for this team 80% of the season. Played very well against the Blazers and the Jazz last 2 games. He's not a dynamic offensive players but he's a decent driver and he hits his catch and shoot 3's. His true value is that he gives you size and good defense as a back up point/SG. Dude did a pretty good job on Mitchell last night on several possessions.
Idk, i just don't get the hate for him. Like why do people not hate on Javonte Green but they do on Wannamaker. Wannamaker has been so much better for us. People also like to praise Waters like crazy and while I agree that dude has real talent, he could not have brought the same value as Brad this year. It's just crazy but what do I know.
Wanamaker isn't flashy at all, looks like a duck when he's out there. So when he looks bad, it's heightened. Javonte Green throws down dunks in transition and no one cares that he is a terrible defender. If he looks bad, you can just say, "yeah but he looks so athletic."
It's how she goes, but i wouldn't worry about—go read the buyout thread. The people who hate Wanamaker also want washed up trash like Jamal Crawford and Isaiah Thomas, didn't want to re-sign Daniel Theis, would trade Hayward for Drummond or Steven Adams.
If there is a better third-string PG in the NBA I'd be surprised.
