Did you see the desperation three we got with only 2.8 seconds left? Better to call the TO, shoot the three within 3-4 of the 12 seconds, and get the ball back with about 7 seconds for a final possession.

We got an awesome look for Porzingis and if he tidied his foot up it would have been a one point game.

Seriously doubt we get half as good a look with a time out there.

I don’t even see how this is a debate lol. If he called the timeout, who knows if we even score, and even if we do, OKC gets FT’s, and the Celtics would need to drive the entire court again, probably just to get intentionally fouled by the Thunder.

Come on, guys.

Yep. Sometimes you do not want a good defence being able to set up late.

And as you said doubt we can just waltz up the court with no timeouts to get another shot without being fouled

Scal's been in that situation a lot more than any of us. He called it during the broadcast: absolute TO make or miss. That was the best call in that situation.

And the BS Dirk fadeaway that he made. Lucky ass scoring game for him

Puzzles me how he can't be defended properly. He looks as slow as Slo-Mo Anderson out there.

Scal is a clown.

The no timeout worked, KP just wasn’t disciplined with his feet.

That first score was more important than the next, because if you don't get it, the game is over. Call the timeout there, design a play, and preserve some time. That's the best coaching call in that situation.

Look, after a free throw, OKC can put all five of their guys in our half of the court. It's an open question whether we inbound the ball or not, let alone advance it far enough in 7 seconds to set up and run a play for a three.

The guy has played in over 500 career games, but Real Gmers know more. I love this place.

Again we got an amazing look and Porzingis just got a bit unlucky with his big foot.

Swear some of you talk about timeouts like they’re this easy solution to everything.

I actually prefer coaches that sometimes do different things or the less obvious thing.

There have been times when I’ve wished Mazzulla would call timeout but this wasn’t one of them after seeing the look we got.

And one more pass before we get to foul and we get it back with even less than the 2.8 seconds we got. You have to get the first score first, down 4 points. And not use 8 seconds to do it when you've only got 12 left in the game.

No issue with the look and shot we got, it was how much time we used by running it up the floor that is the issue.

Well I simply don’t think we get the same sort of look by calling a timeout and the game is essentially over if we miss with no timeouts left
