The C's don't do anything schematically that allows Tatum to do what we want him to do. It's boards and passes only. Unless he gets on a heater from three.

Yup the guy has been terrible in the finals going back to golden state. He needs to step it up.

Tatum is doing these unnecessary curl on these layup attempts. It’s frustrating to watch. Also his shot hasn’t been great all season. His 3 ball just isn’t reliable this year and I have no hope for his midrange. Not only can he not make them consistently, he doesn’t even take them and that’s one shot the Mavs are giving him especially against shorter players like Kyrie. It’s driving into traffic and throwing a prayer or bricking side step threes.

We are doing the same here: we have a bunch of good 1v1 defenders, Luka kills us but the 3 role players on the court dont get easy lobs or 3s which they are used to getting.

I would prefer that they make Luka drive more and give him less 3s, lay ups take more energy than 3s

If the Celtics start hitting their 3s then I like their chances even if Tatum continues to no show on offense.

Also annoyed with JT is that he doesn’t have a bounce to his step. Everyone is at least jogging or running up the court while JT is often the last one at times to cross half court walking…

Tatum isn't even getting to the line in 2 games. He's shook. No other way to put it until he starts being more aggressive. 21 points on 25 shots is a bum in the NBA

He has settled on very bad 3 point attempts he's missed layups and he's literally hesitating so it's far more than just his 3 pointer falling or not falling.]

I remember when Paul was struggling he would take a smaller defender right to the free throw line and pull up on his head. Baffles me that Tatum hasn’t tried this since he basically gets past the first defender at will.
