I said the same except for this season they are playing in Tampa Florida

That opens a spot for Boston and 9 mil.

Boston trades for Barnes-Neismith and 1st

Boston waits for a buyout center or signs someone from nbadl. (Possibly trade Teague and 2nd for Khem Birch)

Carson and 2nd for Wayne Ellington

The reason you don't want to move Theis is that leaves you with two non-stretchy 5s.

He's shooting league average this year on 3s but under Brad I worry it would be mid-range mania for him.

It would def be mid range mania but I could see brad enjoying that pick n pop dynamic with him and kemba. Again just connecting dots who tf knows really

LMA is a pure 5 at this point of his career. Theis gives us more versatility as he can play either big position. I'm more open to moving Theis if we can bring back someone like Nance or if Grant had been more consistent this season. We're just really thin at the 4 behind Tatum.

Remember when LMA was a FA a decade+ ago and we speculated about some ad shoot — maybe featuring some kid wearing his jersey? — that someone said someone said they’d maybe heard someone witnessed?

Now if the Celtics acquire LMA I’ll just turn off the game if/when he plays. RWill/Tacko/LMA there you go depth chart:)

Might have been 2015. He had meetings with LA and Phoenix. Ended up with the Spurs. Did we even have cap space back then?

Wouldnt be shocked to see both Theis and Thompson moved because the salary needs to be gone to stay under the tax in a trade where we bring back big salary on the wings. And then signing LMA in the buyout market as the "starting 5 who plays 18mins a night" role. But that would also mean you have to be sure about LMA signing here in the buyout market.

No but I’m sure we were just going to magic his way to us.

As I said a few pages ago. if a trade doesn't involve Jalen or Kemba, it's not going to make much of a difference. I suppose trading Smart would make a difference, but the effect would be entirely negative.

Celts had the cap space in 2015, but LMA didn't want to go to Boston.

I do remember one poster saying that they were filming kids in a playground shoot hoops while wearing Celtics Aldridge jerseys. Lol. Seems kind of weird, but it wouldn’t have been a bad pitch since LMA left Portland because he was sad about not being the face of the franchise. Lol.

With that being said, we actually did have interest in him, and were willing to sign him and Wes Matthews as a package deal.

I think it will be a combination of 2 things that will make a big difference.

1. A trade, if not Harrison Barnes, for a veteran player who can help in the playoffs.

2. The improved play of Robert Williams.

What Rob is doing now is really special.
Very few players in the league can do what Rob is doing on offense and defense.

Hello, it is me again. Rising from the ashes of what I believe to be a 2 year posting slumber. I was actually in the park when they were shooting it with his number on the back (Although I can't remember now whether it said Aldridge or not). Here to claim my bi-annual credit for it. I believe LBF confirmed it as well since his misses is in the Celtics Marketing Department.

The Pats spending all the money they have in free agency and the Celtics making trade deadline deals would mean full bizarro world on this whole year

It was said at the time that they had done some sort of psychological profiling on LMA to determine that this was the best way to get him to envision himself as a Celtic.
