Says he likes Simmons, but thinks that Ingram is going to turn out to be the best player in the draft. Isola then accused him of talking to Danny Ainge. Interesting. There's probably some truth to it, as Danny and Scal probably see each other quite a bit.

Where's LBF been at? Would be interested to see what Danny's draft board is looking like this year.

Sidebar: Scal and Isola is easily my favorite sports radio show, consistently hilarious and insightful.

I agree. Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson in the afternoons is also somewhat entertaining. Not that much basketball insight. Just funny to hear Termine and Johnson rag on each other.

I have quite the feeling we'll end up with Dunn. Because point guards.

Termine is funny as hell, usually makes a lot of good points and then Eddie says something random af.

LSU's Quarterman was probably the best player on the floor in this particular game.

Saw a lot of the same. Although I will say Simmons was very good at defense and played with a serious effort. Poythress also did well pretty much shutting down Simmons the whole game and after he fouled out Ben finally scored 8 or so points. Skal tho.... he was bad, like has no idea what he should be doing 95% of the time.

Termine is also a Celtics fan too. I think one of the bets he had with Eddie Johnson involved him having to take a picture wearing a Larry Bird jersey.

Sign me up for 6'10 Diaw with amazing open court speed and dynamic rebounding ability.

I want Simmons so bad - love watching freak athletes with great floor games and superb passing ability. If only he had a cooler name (Skal and Bender run away with the name competition).

I like a lot of these upperclassmen in this draft: Dunn, Valentine, Hield, Hayes. Lots of versatility.

I would love to add Valentine if we stay stuck in the teens with our own pick and Dallas.

Dunn is tempting but I think the fans will riot if we draft another guard.

Same here. The kid is going to be a stud. I would also love the idea of having a marketable star player back in Boston. Someone to headline future all star games... Someone with their own shoe haha... I think Simmons will be that guy. I'd gag if he ends up in LA.

Random... But I have a weird thing with not being high on college juniors and seniors entering the draft. Especially nowadays. If you're that good, you'd be gone no later than your sophomore season. Of course you'd find a few exceptions, but not a lot nowadays. 22 year olds have an advantage in college. Which is why I'll pass on Dunn more than most people.

Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler would be your most recent exceptions

Right. There are exceptions to every rule. But not many.

Lilard, Crowder, Festus as well. I'm not big on Dunn either but talent is talent. It's up to Danny to find the right guy

Well when you said "that good" it kind of left it open to interpretation. I'm not neccesarrily disagreeing with you in that the cream of the crop aren't upperclassmen anymore, I'm just not willing to rule a guy out solely based on that either.

Well seniors are one thing but Kane was like 25 at the draft. That's like a solid masters degree.

Dunn is 3 years younger than Kane as a senior, so that should factor in. His steal and block numbers at the guard spot are hard to ignore. A truly explosive player, not just a solid athlete with skill like Kane.

Denzel Valentine another guy who is impossible to ignore even with age. Combining highly accurate volume shooting with elite playmaking and rebounding and excellent BBIQ on both ends - got me drooling.

Buddy Hield another guy who looks great. The massive senior year spike in shooting efficiency has to be discounted a bit, but he was already a pretty well-rounded role-player prospect - the ability to add so much to his game in year 4 is intriguing. Speaks to a Jimmy Butler type trajectory.
