Interesting in watching our starting shooting guard Smart go 2 for 13 every night. No thanks

Why does Orlando want Crowder when they got Gordon at the 3? Isn't Gordon an undersized 4?

I was hoping Zeller would be gone by noon.

Or if you want Noel, do it in a cap neutral way.

At this point, I'm really coming around on one of those moves, makes too much sense. Buy low on either one of those guys. Young bigs. Pull the trigger Danny. Give up a future first, get it done.

Only thing holding it up, is Philly holding out for Avery Bradley? In that case, I don't know if it would be worth it? I

Maybe they finally realized what the rest of the NBA knows and concluded that Gordon is a terrible 3. He's a great prospect at the 4, though, especially next to Biyombo. A 3-4-5 of Crowder-Gordon-Biyombo is very solid long term.

Gordon is a bad rebounder for a 6'9, athletic PF. And Ibaka should be a 6th man now.
Vucevic is not a great defender, but he can scores and rebounds.

Unless the C's are flipping Ibaka to a 3rd team I don't think this is the best deal for them. Unless of course they're getting Vuc and another piece.

Right. What the hell would the Celtics do with a capable big man?

Crowder + Amir + Jerebko + some non-BK picks + rights to one of Yabu or Zizic for Ibaka and Vucevic would make a ton of sense if it's fallowed by trade for Butler or George.

No way should we sign Ibaka, this guy lost his value about 2 years ago around the same time he lost the ability to grab rebounds and block shots. He's a soft, mediocre 3pt shooting stretch 4 with a highly qustionable D.O.B

Ibaka would make a ton of sense if it were followed by nothing. Maybe he'd get a few defensive rebounds. I would hate to see Crowder go, but they did draft Brown and there are plenty of wings in the 2017 draft (Jackson, Tatum, Issac, Anunoby all projected to go in the top 10).

Orlando has had some very questionable trades over the past year. The Ibaka one is starting to look really bad. Oladipo and Sabonis? I do think Gordon is also better at the 4, and a lineup of Payton/Fournier/Crowder/Gordon with either Biyombo or Vucevic at the 5 is better. But, trading Crowder doesn't make sense right now for Boston.

Right, the draft crop is a big reason to sell high on Crowder, and Bradley, and Rozier. Rozier+ for Okaforel, Bradley for Lavine, Crowder for Gordon or Ibaka - a step back in the short term, but a better team in 2-3 years.

No idea what Ainge or Stevens are thinking, though.

Nope. Not at all. Especially since Crowder is locked up on a nice deal... and Ibaka is an expiring who'll command too much.

But in the mean time, we're fun to watch and they suck :)

Also, I really don't trust their process as much as I do establishing a winning tradition for the young kids. To some degree, I think Okafor and Noel have been negatively affected by the vacuum they came into and the hope and expectations put on them. Smart and Brown have room to grow. That seems to be a healthier path.

Embiid seems to have the kind of personality and talent that it doesn't really matter what environment you put him in. I'm not so sure about Simmons. I seem him developing bad habits in Philly similar to Okafor. We'll see.

I would love to see this (or any Melo to Cavs) trade happen. I want to see the look on LeBron's face when Melo waves him off and then forces up a bad shot.

Not trading for a player we don't even know how old he is. Certainly not giving him money after this season.

The situation with Melo and his banana boat friends is definitely something we should keep an eye on. Chris Paul is a petulant baby. Wouldn't put it past him to march right up to Ballmer's office and demand that they trade for Melo. Just like LeBron.

I can see Ainge helping facilitate the rumored Dragic to Orlando deal, and sending the Memphis pick, BOS 2018 Pick, Zeller, and Rozier to Miami, and getting Ibaka in return...
