Yeah but it never happened. Wonder why it didn't happen? Danny was focused on AD but Kyrie and KD had made a little pact the whole time. Seems odd.
 
It didn't happen because Kyrie slowly started to hate Boston throughout 18-19. I don't think we will ever know why or how. Whether it was 1 thing or a bunch of things. I don't think Ainge was singularly focused on AD. I think the plan in 2018 was to pitch KD and trade for AD. Kyrie/KD/AD was the plan. 
Makes you wonder what the hell went on this season that Ainge and Stevens weren't able to resolve it. Ainge is old school a bit, and I don't think he understands how important it is for a locker room to be together with the modern player. I think if he could do it all over again, he would trade Rozier and maybe even Brown in summer 2018 to avoid chemistry issues.
