The more time passes the worse our chances IMO. At some point New Orleans is going to put a clock on Ainge and say that if he doesn't put Tatum on the table by that point, they're going with the Lakers offer.

I actually have a feeling the Lakers will get him for less than we expect... as in sticking to Ingram/Ball/#4 and not having to add in Kuzma or other picks.

A few more thoughts.

Lakers package would have been good last summer, although we could still beat it. But now, they are selling so low on Ingram and Ball. The idea of finding a 3rd team for the #4 suggests Pels don't value it either in a 3 man draft. If Pels really like Kuzma the most, they shouldn't even bother talking with the Lakers. Especially since you REALLY don't want to reward LA for LeBron and Rich Paul's manipulation.

#3 Barrett straight up or with Knox should really beat the Laker's offer. Brown/Smart/14/Memphis blows either out of the water even without Tatum.

Given the rental warnings: I wouldn't be surprised if Ainge is lowballing and won't include Brown or Tatum. Memphis pick is still probably better than any Laker asset. Mem/Smart/TimeLord/14 is a low risk gamble for us, comparable return for New Orleans, and doesn't reward Rich Paul. The Knicks can beat that offer though.

This could be a Pau Gasol situation where the Bulls lowball offers led to Memphis gifting him to Lakers out of spite. If I'm NO I take a medium Knicks offer over an all-in Lakers offer. Only way I'd take a Laker offer is with no alternatives and also forcing contracts on them to block their max FA scheme. (Just like Memphis would have dumped Brian Cardinal's contract in the Gasol trade if it had been a legitimate negotiation and not collusion.)

to me the real news is there is ongoing talks and they will be able to come to a meet in the middle moment i believe

Klay is getting 5/190 from Warriors. He ain't going to LAL. Not even close.

If the warriors want to do that, sure.

Doesnt mean there arent other options for guys to go to LA

why would they take that garbage when so many teams have such better players. Portland should be able to beat that offer easy as many other teams?

As long as Danny doesnt lose Irving for nothing then I'm fine either way on what happens.

I'm not saying trade for Davis at all cost, just zero interest in taking steps back and not forward at this point in the "rebuild"
