That s**t is my specialty, love it!

Capela especially I think would have put us right there with the bucks. Instead of right behind them. So I would say that makes a pretty worth while difference.

Good role-player... unplayable in key situations...made the rockets worse when he was on the floor; they would literally rather play with no center...contract becomes an albatross if a deal for an actual difference maker presents...ultimately, he DOES help us in niche situations, but overall makes us actually worse

Alec burks would have been fine w me, but hes a low efficiency scorer who plays 0 d. Again, im not mad if we exchange our end of the bench for him, but...who cares? Meaningless

I had talked myself into bertans for our spare parts, but 2 firsts for a onetrick pony with one elite skill whos about to be massively overpaid??? I get we dont NEEd the picks, but theyre better spent elsewhere. Assets. And was he taking us to the next level?

Who else you guys got? I can convince myself everything is fine no matter what

I would have traded a 2nd for Willie Caullie Stien for Center Depth, he is solid, missed opportunity.

Think about what we could have gotten back in picks and players had we blown up the team at the deadline last year and traded Horford, Morris, Kyrie, Baynes and Rozier . Basically lost all of those guys for Kemba

I may have done it too. Im a uk grad and im biased af. Good indiviual and pnr defender, but doesnt get schemes. Minus on offense. Not demonstrably better than any one of our current center melange, but thinks hes KAT.

Looking at the trades we could have had our choice. Apparently our choice is going to playoffs with 7 rookies and 3 hurt centers. Lol

How much do people think Christian Wood is going to get in UFA this summer? Our rumored trade interest could be Danny trying to grab him if the price was right, but at least signaling early interest for the summer. I haven't gotten to figure out what exception we'll have and what $ amount that is.

Have to think Detroit will try to keep him now that they dealt away Drummond, they have loads of cap space too. A deal similar to what Thomas Bryant got feels right

So, probably around MLE money ($9Mish). Feels like he could thank DET for giving him the chance to pump his value as he hightails it out the door of that shell of a team. I doubt he limits himself to just DET, but I may just be projecting my own stuff onto him. :)

But, most likely, we won't have enough to lure him.

I understand not doing anything, you have to find out what all these young players you have like Williams and Langford. The best scenario would be for Robert Williams to come back and stay healthy and be that inside defender they need. That being said I don't know where the bench scoring/outside shooting comes from, they don't have any young players that project to that.

I think if we felt we could sign him to the MLE or somewhere in that ballpark then he’d be wearing a Celtics jersey tomorrow night. His play is finally going to get him paid though, and if he came here it probably would’ve gotten him paid even more. Kid would shine here

Thomas Bryant is making $8M. Full non-taxpayer MLE is going to be roughly $9+M, so I just figured that was the range you meant.

Non-taxpayer MLE: $9,755,000
Taxpayer MLE: $6,025,000
Room MLE: $5,023,000
Bi-annual exception: $3,818,000

Not sure which one we'll have yet, depends on how things shake out, I guess. I was meaning other teams with the full MLE could steal him from DET, or the teams with cap space.

Aren’t we in the tax next year when Jaylens extension kicks in? Have to be close with Brown, Kemba, Hayward and Smart putting them over 100 million.

Depends on Hayward. Enough that I haven't bothered looking at things yet. But, assuming he opts in or only slightly declines on an extension, I'd assume we're in the tax.

That was my assumption. I don’t think 6 per year is going to cut it for Mr. Wood. I think he’s looking at full MLE if not higher depending on how free agency shakes out

Pretty sure we drafted Edwards for his shooting. And Romeo looks like he can score. We can develop those guys, or bring in an Alec Burks who's shooting 40% from the field and plays no D.

But mostly the bench scorers are Smart and Kanter -- and we'll continue staggering our scoring wings, especially in the playoffs.
