No he's just helping me not lose any more brain cells reading your responses

That implies you had any to begin with. :noway:

Swing and a miss strike three. Enjoy the rest of the offseason and can't wait to hear how much you cry after every move/non-move.

I think Charlotte really wants Batum gone.

In a S&T my opinion is the Celtics get Batum and not a TPE and Ainge is looking for a place he can put Batum and a 1st round pick and get back some useful vet players.

I would look at OKC

Batum just feels strictly inferior to a TPE in pretty much all contexts. Get that TPE and you can take the same useful vets back for picks, plus it doesn't required the other team to eat Batum, and generates them their own TPEs. We get better value because our trade partner gets better value.

Maybe you can argue getting Batum for that purpose is superior to getting nothing, but I see no reason a TPE can't be created. CHA would have to turn down free assets just to spite us, more than they already have.

Now need to get something to replace Hayward. This smells like last offseason when they had Kemba up their sleeve after losing Kyrie. They aren't done yet

We still need an upgrade over Theis at the 5 though!

Is Bogan a locker room cancer or does he have an attitude problem? I'm not following the guy but just had to be sure.

Celtics would love just the TPE

Very little reason for Charlotte to give them one. They are trying to avoid stretching Batum for 3 years at $9 million per year.

DO NOT even consider making losing Hayward situation worse by taking back Batum. Even as an expiring, he will not be able to be moved. The only thing that should be considered is Rosier to LA Clippers (as rumors have talked about) and some of what comes back to them be forwarded to us.

getting back batum would be illegal as it hard caps us. We aren't going to stretch him for the hornets and pay 9m a year for 3 years, sorry.

I'm sure rozier to clippers could be part of the trade, but we don't need what they can send. Pat bev? Lou williams? Zubak?

I can dig it. Just get me one more scorer/shooter off the bench.. or starter to move Smart to the bench

Wish we weren't utterly wasting a roster spot and salary on Edwards. Dude is not an NBA player.

I hope the lineup looks like this by the end of the night:

Kemba / Teague / Pritchard
Bogdanovic / Smart / Edwards
Brown / Nesmith / Langford
Tatum / G. Williams / Semi
TT / Theis / R. Williams

Tacko/Waters in Maine

Edwards would not be seeing many minutes, nor Semi, Langford or Pritchard I suppose, but he's not a bad guy to have in that 12-15 range. He still has a chance to settle down and get his stroke going, and is not a big expense.

Nice gif bro, comeback for the ages.

You know for a guy who harps so much on reading comprehension, you still can't seem to grasp what you're even going back and forth with me on: the Thompson signing doesn't negate the Indiana/Hayward bungling, it just highlights it

True, just change it to this then. Point is that a 3-way trade should be able to happen like this.

BOS give: Hayward (SnT), FRP
BOS get: Bogdan (SnT)

CHA give: Monk, Bridges
CHA get: Hayward (SnT)

SAC give: Bogdan (SnT)
SAC get: Monk, Bridges, FRP

Only area I don't know deep enough is if you sign and trade a player while receiving a sign and trade player.

This could work. We might not even need to give SAC a 1st since Bridges is a really good return for a player who's gonna walk anyway. CHA gets a 2nd from us maybe.

We did double S&T for Kemba-Rozier last offseason.

The incentive for the hornets is for us to take on batums deal. Why else would they bother? They can avoid stretching his contract

My money is on rozier going out in a 3 team.

We might even get an asset and smaller tpe to accomodate

And the funniest part is.. wait for it... I never said the Thompson signing negates losing Hayward for nothing

And that's all for tonight folks.

Very little reason for Charlotte to give them one. They are trying to avoid stretching Batum for 3 years at $9 million per year.

The reason is that their choices are:

- stretch Batum and get nothing
- stretch Batum and get a pick from us
- send us more palatable salary and a smaller TPE to avoid stretching Batum

Sure they could choose to cut off their own nose to spite their face and pick the worst of the three options: option #1.

But they must know they've already stuck it to us once today. Are they really going to stand firm and say, "We demand you let us stick it to you a second time, and if you don't, we will hurt our own selves just to spite you?"

I guess anything's possible.

Yeah that’s a lot to give up for CHA, guessing they would rather stretch Batum then give up their previous two lottery picks.
