They’ll never win a title with him as the primary option. They lost control of this game when JB was sitting and Tatum cycled between bricking mid range jumpers, missing free throws, turning the ball over, and fouling out of frustration.

Tatum is +8 for the game. Jaylen is -20. Single game +/- doesn't tell you much about a player's talent level but it sure does tell you what happened when a player was in the game.

I seem to remember certain people were "zomg" on the net/off ratings during the regular season saying it nearly guaranteed championship and scoffing at those who say playoffs are different.

Nope. Always been clear about it being a regular season thing. That there are no guarantees. HOPING it would carry over to the postseason.
