Won't the Clippers sit everyone with nothing to play for same as the Raptors..battle of benches?

They will but the clippers bench may actually want to win while the suns want nothing more but to lose that game.

All easy bottom tier management combos considering GM/ownership interests. Could throw NO and SAC and possibly Milwaukee into that mix as well. Really only Denver and Toronto seem modestly savvy in the top 10.

Hopefully that helps in Maneuvering.

I'm dreaming of how good Ben Simmons will look as our PF next year.

IT
Bradley
Crowder
Simmons
Whiteside or Horford

I could seriously get down with that team next year.

Well the Suns bench is actually their roster so many they get a lucky continuity win

This is obviously a huge jinx but Phoenix has won 2 out of the last 3. Brooklyn is putting on one of the least competitive stretches of basketball feasible. I'll take Toronto's bench (Corey Joseph, Biyombo, Patterson etc) over LAC's as well. Odds have to favor third seed pretty well right now.

I do not have a good felling to tell you the truth. It has been really exhousting season following BRK pick drama and we are so close...I really do not want to lose any loterry combination being in a tie with PHO.

I really, really hope TOR will play at least 50% defense...because in a shotout game Kilpatrick, Bogdanovic, Brown and Ellington can hit multiple 3pt...

In PHO game..onyl option for a win I see if whole starting 5 plus Crawford does not play...Than it would be Rivesr+Green against PHO.

I also hope Chandler+Goodwin are back, expecially missing Chandler was a big blow yesterday because Leuer make multiple mistakes.

Please let it happen!

Didn't the Raps beat the Pacers short handed so I feel like they can beat the Nets. Powel and Wright are good players from the looks of it

Will there be a coin flip first or are we just gonna have one more or less lottery combination when they tie?

Look at the bright side, we 100% sure have a coin flip for the 3th draft pick. That's still amazing.

We still lose combinations even if we win the coin flip. Coin flip just determines our pick's floor.

I know someone already clarified. But It also effects lottery odds. If we tie with the Suns we will split the lottery odds equal and the winner of the coin flip getting the extra in event of an odd number.

Then if both teams lose the lottery, the coin flip decides their order.

If PHO and BRK tie, they share the same number of ping pong balls in the lottery. Coin flip is used to determine draft order after the lottery (unless either or both of them draws pick 1, 2, or 3.)

Chances of a top 3 pick go down roughly 4.55%(46.9 vs 42.35%) if they end up tied after tomorrow. Can obviously swing a tiny bit depending on the first coin flip and who gets the extra combo.

I have already mentally prepared myself for the Celtics getting either the 5th or 6th pick in the draft and ending up with either Domantas Sabonis, Dragan Bender or Kris Dunn.

Will be interesting to see what the Suns do for the last game. They didn't appear to pull any shenanigans against the kings.

The reason why it's so important to be in front of Phoenix is not the number of lottery combinations, but the worst case scenario of someone other than them jumping us.
Jazz won the coin flip two years ago and got to pick between Smart and Exum. We'd have almost certainly taken Smart regardless, but it would have been great to make that decision. Not to mention some other team might have given us something we wanted for Exum.
Imagine Hinkie calling on draft night and offering Noel and Šarić for Exum because of his potential.

I know most guys don't want to talk about worst case scenarios, but it is what it is and it's a higher possibility to pick 4th and 5th going into the lotto as the 3rd worst team than it is top 3.

1. 250 combinations, 25.0% chance of receiving the #1 pick
2. 199 combinations, 19.9% chance
3. 156 combinations, 15.6% chance
4. 119 combinations, 11.9% chance

If tied for 3rd 156+119 = 275/2 = 138 or 137

138 team winning coin flip
137 team losing coin flip

We need 156 combinations and 3 best position. Also if we do not get into top 3, every position matters!

There's 2 ways Toronto can approach their final game:
1) Rest everyone up but still have their role players play a tough game, in order to build on their franchise record for wins.
2) Play their worst players heavy minutes, just to lower the Celtics' odds of getting a higher pick and therefore, slowing their rebuilding efforts.

Masai's not dumb. He's going to tell Casey to play the end of the bench guys. Expect to see Wright, Caboclo and Nogeira getting heavy minutes. Thankfully, the rest of the Raptors bench is still pretty solid. Still not expecting a win from the Raptors tomorrow night though.

Spurs beat dallas so they stay with 42.

Chicago beats sixers to reach 42.

Then dallas wins coin flip for 16th pick.

Raptors beats the Nets, Celtics get 3rd pick pre lottery.

If Mavs lose and Griz win one then no coin flip is needed. Mavs would have the 16th pick.

The scariest scenario is if the Mavs win, Pacers lose, Portland loses and Detroit loses. Then coin flips could drop us a ton of spots.

Good call, chicago is out of the playoffs, so lets hope grizzlies and mavs dont tie and grizzlies beats the clippers. Or maybe upset the GSW..
