I'm not saying Williams will definitely succeed in the NBA, but to give up on him even before he plays one game.

I think what we tend forget because these guys are professional athletes is that, they are still kids. Yep, they have a chance to play in the best basketball league in the world, but most of them do not know the responsibility involved.

At 19, I do not even know what I wanted to do with my life. Give it time. Maturity will come.

The kid has tremendous potential. His passing ability shows his love for the game. He can give the Celtics an edge and if they want to compete for Championship they need all the edges they can get!

He has the potential to be a very good player both on offense and defense. It is up to him to reach that.

Agreed, particularly on D.

And yes, it is--though I think he is fortunate to have landed in the hands of Danny and Brad and all the C's team. I think they'll give him as good a chance as any organization to succeed.

I will give him a break for being deer in headlights with media.

But, I better not hear a bit late for practice, late for bus, late for flight again.

He’s been talked to. Buy your mom a house, and then buy a freakin watch and alarm clock.

Disagree. I Had a summer job. So did people all around me. Grew up in a city, lower middle class. We knew how to get to work on time.

And, I am By no means a guy who is on time, or, would consider myself mature at that age.

Don’t set the expectations low for him. You can be naïve, and you can be immature, but showing up on time requires zero effort.

He is a young man. Not a child.

We need him to take this seriously.

"Disagree. I Had a summer job. So did people all around me. Grew up in a city, lower middle class. We knew how to get to work on time. "

Why do you believe you can equate what this kid is going through simply because its a job and he is making good money.

He may or may not work out but his life experiences, fears and motivations are a mystery to all of us.

We can only hope they match our expectations.
