edit.

Wtf was that by Tatum...

To be fair, he got hacked by Ilyasova on that layup.

Because they have better basketball fundamentals. Lots of these USA players are taken out of their usual roles and they fall apart.

Most of them are used to other systems and rule sets. They've played under them for years. It's very difficult to adapt to the NBA and typically they're forced to take minor roles on their teams.

When they play for their countries they're stars.

Mitchell is back to his old self. Dude has shot around .400 from the field in his NBA career.
Good assessment:

Btw, Korkmaz and Osman have been the best players in this game so far.

JMHO... USA will win this tourney if they have to play the Philippines every game including the Finals.

I don't really think that the above mentioned lads can be " the guys" in the NBA, regardless the team. But I get your point.

Three key offensive boards by US in last 3 mins. Two by Tatum.

Way to play tough Joe Harris, i don't care if you're smaller you have to be more physical.

I'm only rooting for our guys, but an exciting game. Team USA doesn't look like they know each other all too much, aren't playing with great chemistry from what I've seen in 2 games.

I hate to say it.....but I knew he was going to miss one. Remember when Tatum had a chance to put away Washington by having to hit one free throw at the end of regulation? Same scared look. He missed. Celts lose in OT. Let's not hope the same happens here.
