I was thinking more Carmen San Diego but might be showing my age a little.

Or in this case, Jaylen San Diego.

Looks like South Korea trip happened before workout with Curry in NYC (where he also gave a pair of shoes to a kid in Rucker Park). So maybe it was after his getaway to Dubai with his GF.

At this point I'm going to be disappointed if Jaylen isn't in my kitchen when I get up in the middle of the night to get the baby a bottle. I think that's the only place he hasn't been this summer.

Best thing about JB is he's never satisfied. Every off season, it seems like he adds something new to his game. I'm inclined to believe in this revenge tour leading to repeat.

Low key silver lining to all this lux tax, team-sale, uncertain future angle.

Puts this year on a real "hey this might be our last shot together" thing that really wouldn't be there otherwise.

It would be the worst PR move ever to break up a team that just won back to back titles if this season works out that way. I'm not saying it won't happen even if we repeat lol, but new owners or not that is the definitive way to say F.U. to fans, players, coaches, Brad, and anyone else you care to mention.

Sure but there's always circumstances. Hey so and so was hurt and we won anyways, let's move him and get some more reliable guys etc etc.

Point is it's like when that chick in the tight dress asked Jaylen how many titles and he was like "oh five, for sure." Easy to think the good times will roll on forever but it's a little more obvious for this crew there may be a shorter timeline than for some of the teams that have been in similar situations.

Just saying it's a silver lining they don't have impetus to have the potential "not four, not five..." moments.

Fans and players are irrational lol. If we go back to back and the team sells off KP/Jrue/anyone inside the top 8 there's zero chance anyone feels good walking away with 2 in hand and punting on #3. We're also not like to get some more reliable guys either, and I think it's more likely we're just saving money and taking whatever we can get (also at the expense possibly of a young player and/or draft pick). It's an emotional thing for both groups. It's more likely than not to happen, but last season with no drama, great regular season, likeable guys, and a dominating title run seemed to eliminate any of the bad rep we used to get for the handling of IT and other injured guys and the weird backlash we took in some circles for Ime. Punt on #3 when you just went back to back creates new bad vibes and possibly brings back some of the old narratives that aren't truly that old either. I don't personally care about those narratives, but agents and free agents in the future might and that could affect our ability to rebuild (if you want to call it that since it's not like we'd be terrible after selling off contracts).

Hey I'm not saying I will be happy about lol, I'm just saying both of my points above are valid points. This team has a shorter timeline than they would otherwise because of $ and that could def keep focus on point compared to thinking they've got 3-4 years of the same thing.

Back in the day it was the players breaking it up to get more money elsewhere where this is a different thing.

Agreed, and it just sucks it's a manufactured problem. I get the back-story in that the Dubs broke the system with a team already in dynasty-mode, able to sign their franchise player to a cheaper deal due to Steph's ankle injuries before, a giant jump in the cap, and KD being super Beta so teams and the league felt like something needed to be done. But when was that perfect storm ever going to happen again for them to think they needed to fix it in such an extreme manner? lol Cap-smoothing alone probably fixes it. The rest of the stuff you either can't or shouldn't fix, or they never become an issue because you took care of the cap spike. In a way it's like they made the same mistake over again... they introduced a CBA with unexpected consequences that the next CBA will look to fix. This one prevented the recent Warriors dynasty and specifically the KD aspect of it from happening again, but it also prevented teams from having sustained success with windows of multiple years. Hopefully next time they don't create an even newer problem by overreacting to this one (i.e. second apron issues).

JB is becoming my favorite player.

Problem is I hate the Celtics.

What should I do?
