Might be some posters waiting outside Auerbach with lead pipes and ski masks if it gets close to a return this year. The tank city hype has been unreal.

Stuff this doctor says:
- Not unprecedented rehab timeline, slightly early, but it's nothing miraculous/groundbreaking
- Got the surgery where instead of just suturing the tendons together, they also add bone anchors in the heel bone to anchor sutures to provide additional support/reinforcement to the tendon which does allow quicker rehab timeline than just regular repair
- Could feasibly return within 8-10 months with 8 months out being January after the all star break

January is before the all-star break..not after.
Unless they're doing the all-star break earlier this year.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I agree with Boogie. Emphasis on JT wouldn't just be coming back this season, but also trying to find his rhythm in one of the most difficult playing environments in basketball when he does it.

Agreed.
Take your time, JT. We'll see you on opening night for the 26-27 season. Hopefully that game is at home so he can hear the crowd going nuts..

The way he’s going after his rehab he seems to have a much different idea than the majority of the tank crew.

Yes. They forgot to tell Tatum, that he's not coming back (this Season).
Cause, as far as he's concerned, he is.

The Celtics as a whole, have to say that.
They're not going to ask him to come back. And, they have to operate as if he isn't.
But, they know that his return is a distinct possibility. And Team Management knows that it's out of their control.
It's really majorly on Tatum, himself. He'll be back, when he's ready.

Exciting stuff, lol. That's the thing about letting him have that goal to come back, it helps keep you doing the monotonous stuff like this. I really don't want him playing big minutes in the playoffs in 26, but getting back on the court Mar/April is fine to me. I just don't quite know how to reconcile the two. If he comes back and helps them win a play-in game, then what?

I'd actually be surprised in we make it far into the 2026 Playoffs. But, we'll go as far as we can.
IDK if Tatum will be on a minutes restriction, if and when he comes back?

Even one round like the ORL one last year is something I wouldn't love to have him battle through.
