Hump was mentioned at one point or the other guy like that who is a PIA is Quincy Acy.

I'd like to try out Ezeli on a 1+1 deal if possible. Would suppose he replaces Jerebko, if Bentil is going to make the team.

I'd support that move. I'd love to make a play for Vučević or Monroe if the price is reasonable. I think either one make us match up with Cleveland extremely well.

We have decisions to make on 4 bigs of our own, I'd support grabbing Vuc or Monroe for the right price considering this new era of deals being handed out but if we need to look at the free agent market for a bargain there's a few options:
T Jones, J Hill, D West, D Williams, Nene, Mi Plumlee, T Robinson, D Dedmon, Q Acy, JJ Hickson, Ja Johnson, W Reed, J McAdoo

Keeping Amir probably makes a lot of sense unless there's a bigger deal I'm missing... Would the guys above go for short deals? And are they better than Sully, Zeller, Jerebko?

I like Derrick Williams for some reason...but would Brad like him too?

I've always wanted to see what Stevens could get out of him...I can't tell though..there are talented players not being used properly, then there are players that still need to be tought fundamentally how to play but have some talent...Ainge typically goes for that high BBIQ mold and works from there.

Can I reverse my opinion on the Celtics draft already haha? Only took one game in a Celtics uniform to start to like the kid (Jaylen Brown). Pretty excited now to see what he can do in the NBA.

Some free agents still available:

D. Wade
JR Smith
Dion Waiters
Ezeli
Crabbe
Speights
Gerald Henderson
Leandro Barbosa
Boris Diaw
Brandon Bass

A lot of them will want long term deals, but Ainge may be able to get someone on this list on a one year deal, to keep us flexible for next year.

Who is left from the FA big pool?

Nene could be a nice cheap option.. Maybe convince Zeller/ Sully to come back on the QO

Crabbe would be a nice add...would like to somehow sign and trade for him and move out the younger players that he'd get minutes from. He was the guy I thought we'd make a run at while I was admittedly sceptical about us getting Horford.

Since we just outright signed Horford, along with the way these contracts are marching up... I think it's a safe bet to say we are done with free agency. Sound logic not to overpay for another role player when someone on our loaded roster of young players could step up. I'm just impatient and will like to still see Crabbe but I'm not holding my breath.

We likely just keep Jonas and Johnson, but start getting aggressive in trade talks the rest of the summer to balance the roster.

I'd like Crabbe and Ezeli if they came cheap, but they clearly won't, so no one else really.

Best bet honestly is to bring back Amir and Jerebko and see if you can make a swing for the fences trade for Westbrook.

Did David West opt out? I'd give him an Amir punt deal if nothing else comes to fruition, though I am still pissed he cost the Celtics and himself a championship by choosing the Pacers

I like Nene, Crabbe, or Ezeli on a 1+1. Nene might even actually take one...Same deal as Amir 1+1... 24 mil total

They don't have the roster space to add anyone without renouncing Amir or Jerebko. Or they could not sign Bentil and Jackson either

Can we trade the rights to Bentil or Jackson? I would be down to move Jackson for a future 2nd

I wouldn't. Jackson looked great last night I'd much rather hold onto him and let him play in the Dleague then move him for a pick we don't need to give minutes to a vet free agent

True I did not watch the game so cannot comment. Would you trade Bentil then?

My only concern is our lack of depth in the front court. If we lose Amir, Sully, and Zeller and dont bring over Zizic.. We would go into the season with Hortford, KO, Mickey and I would assume Crowder would get time at the 4 in small ball lineups.. I think we need to bring back Amir but still would be thin..

They can excercise options on both Amir and Jerebko. Sully and Zeller are gone.

Horford/KO
Amir/Jerebko

That's your front court for the most part with Mickey and Bentil as depth behind them. Bentil played well on offense last night but is a total black hole on defense

I like it. I will miss Zeller tho overall. He was that guy down the bench when the game lost control you could count on after not playing for 4 or 5 games and give you an easy 10 points or so to get you back in it.

Diaw isn't a free agent, although San Antonio wishes he were. They need to move him (or Danny Green) if they expect to sign Gasol to the deal they promised.

I expect some team will get him for a second round pick, however.

Can adding Butler and Cousins give us a punchers chance vs GSW?

IT
Butler
Crowder
Horford
Cousins

Bradley/Smart
KO
Jaylen
Jerebko

Probably lose one of Jae or Bradley in a Butler trade and probably one of Jaylen/Smart in a Cousins trade, but I think that team with Stevens at the helm has a good shot at going 7 games with the right strategy and a league leading defense.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

I don't think so. IT/Butler/Horford/Cousins doesn't match Curry/Thompson/Durant/Green in star wattage and our depth advantage would almost certainly be sacrificed incentivizing those deals for Sac and Chicago (bye bye Bradley and Jae and maybe Smart and KO too).

Cousins is such a wildcard too. No record of him being able to deliver wins under the bright lights - huge red flags suggesting the contrary in fact. And he's the only guy with MVP talent in that bunch.
