Why would Kyrie rather have Tatum and Durant instead of Durant and Davis?

... he wouldnt.

Tatum and Kyrie share an agent. And they have vacationed the last few years with Durant.
Also with rumored NO deals some have both Tatum and Smart in it. Kyrie is a big fan of Smart too and close to him now.

It's a tough situation here with guys who could be moved potentially.

Also with the Knicks scenario, it sounds like it's perfect and it could happen but also screams "too good to be true". Keep in mind it's still the Knicks.

The Lakers offer is pretty meh. Ingram's the only one who could become really good. Kuzma's a volume scorer and Lonzo brings along his idiot dad, and probably gets shipped to Phoenix for their junk.

Surely they do not. All-NBA? Wylin'.

I'm a leading charge man of you can never overpay for an MVP like Davis.

But even I at this point... do not want to throw away a sure future all-star level player like Tatum for a one year rental of AD.

I think that equation has changed and now NO can't get Tatum.

Thanks and **** you AD, **** the system that has all the power given to the players who have rigged the league so it's competitive intrigued is worst than baseball.

Yep. People have zero big picture ability. You don’t trade jack for a one year rental, and LA is doing this because they KNOW he wants to be there long term and already has a verbal. That isn’t the case with Boston. So, let LA bleed and overpay.

Most people here are like the dude or girl who desperately want that “hot” dude or girl but can’t get their attention. They will do stupid stuff in an asnine attempt to get their attention and think they can change their minds. In this case AD is the person with no interest, or lukewarm at best, yet most here will do anything.

I love Anthony Davis, but something about this whole situation today feels weird to me. Sometimes I would rather have Durant if we could pull it off but he's older. (shows no signs of slowing down though) But KD has shown legit interest in the Celtics before and has also raved about Kyrie enough and said Tatum has MVP potential.

It's a tough one since I do think Danny has been saving all his assets for this kill shot with AD. It's just a very odd situation....

In a small weird way I wonder if this fuels the Celtics to want to try to win it all this year to not be traded lol.

The fact that LA is willing to gut their entire roster means they know someone else is going to come along to join the super squad soon. Stay tuned.

Yeah, no grade A chips in there. I was a Ball fan once, but the shot/FT looking errr shot isn't good for his star potential.

Most fascinating part in all of this is that Demps is actually negotiating stuff. Pretty much needed to be sacked as soon as AD asked out. Had literally one job and half a decade to do it and failed.

Solomon Hill only has 1 year remaining on his deal, at about $12-13 million. Way to sweeten the pot, Magic.

I hope the young Lakers rebel and don't show up for work.

Lebron with a sore groin.

Magic tampering .

what happened to the mouth of the south lavar Ball. who muscled that guy?

it's chaos over there. Everyone's getting traded. Players fighting with Walton.

cats and dogs living together. It's apocalyptic.

Pels insider says Dell is just a point of contact at this point, and that there are a group of people deciding this deal. Demps has been stripped of his authority, has no say and will likely be canned after the deadline. Ownership group recognized that he might pull a Stan Van Gundy and make a desperation trade to save his job instead of focusing on the long term health of the team.

As for negotiations with LA - Pels are stringing them along to keep Ainge honest and hold leverage. They know if they publicly state that there is no way they are dealing AD to the Lakers, then Danny might get slick and pull Tatum off the table.

Uh, no they don't.

Solomon Hill has two years left on his deal and eliminates LA's third max slot.

This actually means they think no one else is coming.

Well, we knew the Lakers were going to offer this the whole time and slow played it and we probably shouldn't worry now about a leak from the Lakers side.

After racking my brain, I think the best Irving deal we could possibly do before the deadline is with the Clippers.

Irving for SGA, Gortat maybe a future first.

Why for Clips: They get even lower under the cap but they can sell Kawhi or Durant to play with Irving instead of nothing all while having the right to offer Irving the max. NY's got very little on the Clips and they got about what 30 million extra guaranteed in salary and no snow?

Why for BOS: Fantastic young rookie PG prospect that slides right into the rebuild. Being 6'6" suggest he's switchable on defense and with the current BOS core having a proven lack of playmaking between: Rozier, Smart, Tatum, Brown SGA fills a void talent wise. We should see an awful lot of SGA feeding Tatum and Brown in the next 5 years.

Just like last year. Lebron failed to deliver any of the big free agents.

this is fear that the super team will be in NY

We have receipts on this person being an insider? Would be weird to have a poster that posts on such a low traffic board(theirs).

If DA thought 24-9 was good enough he wouldn't be cumming his pants for AD. The Gordon injury has been the worst development during the entire situation.

For me, that injury cost DA everything he's trying to do. I still have hope that Gordon returns to full strength and finds the magic but we've missed 1.5 years of that plan.

It seems to be coming home to roost now.

Even you have to admit that.

I say again, this may be the team he has to roll with. Do you think it's good enough?

Sure he would. Warriors went 73-10 and added Durant. You never pass up a chance to make your team better

Lol seriously.

"Hey Danny, I know you guys are 33-0 over your last 33 games, but we just put Kevin Garnett into a time machine and reverted him back to 2004 form. You want him?"

"Nah. We are 33-0 over our last 33 games! We don't need KG!"

Thinking any GM in the league wouldn't want to add a superstar player because of their current record is piss-poor logic.

But there was very subtraction involved in adding Durant. When the Warriors could have swapped Klay Thompson for Kevin Love they didn't and everyone thought they were crazy but in the end they were right, the cap flexibility allowed them to sign Durant. There is some lessons in that as well. Anthony Davis has huge production on a bad team but you can't expect him to have that same production especially playing with James. But even if you bring him to Boston he won't put up the same numbers.

I am pretty confident in the prospects of Tatum and Brown being All Stars. Maybe not MVP caliber players but All Stars and guys doing it in a winning environment. This isn't Al Jefferson and Gerald Green these guys are legit and did it in the post season. We just watched Anthony Davis go off in two games against these Celtics scoring 27 and 41 and getting blown out both times and one of them Kyrie didn't play.

Davis is a great player and would love to have him. But to this point he is a lot more Kevin Love than Kevin Durant.

I have new respect for Ainge when he call s people up to make a trade. With some teams you never know who to talk with. or who has authority to make deals.
