Yeah, if anything the delay in announcing might be to milk the media attention without any cross chatter about Irving/KD.

It is also a national holiday in Canada called Canada Day It looks bad for him to be plotting an exit on Canada Day. His handlers are handling this right so far. If he is still strongly considering Toronto, he also gets a better chance to now evaluate Toronto's chances to repeat next year since Philly/Boston/Milwaukee have made their preliminary moves.

Just read that GSW are going to retire Kevin Durant’s No 35 jersey!

Toronto is looking a bit rough around the ages. Lowry and Gasol getting elderly.

Aingey-Boy asleep at the wheel.

It isn't like Ainge can't take part in a big trade with Miami and J West and others, he did it before.

"The Miami HEAT announced today that they have acquired All-Star forward Antoine Walker from the Boston Celtics, guard Jason Williams, forward James Posey, and guard Andre Emmett from the Memphis Grizzlies and the draft rights to center Roberto Duenas from the New Orleans Hornets in a five-team trade. The HEAT traded Eddie Jones to the Memphis Grizzlies, Rasual Butler to the New Orleans Hornets, and a 2006 second round draft pick, a conditional second round draft pick, Qyntel Woods and the draft rights to Albert Miralles to the Boston Celtics. Additionally, Memphis sent Greg Ostertag to the Utah Jazz and the Jazz sent Curtis Borchardt to the Celtics, Raul Lopez to the Grizzlies and Kirk Snyder to the Hornets."

You have Miami throwing players and picks around for free, you have 76ers under pressure to make Butler go or no J Richardson, the Clipper and Portland jumped in and might have come away with important additions, although possibly the pick for one and the financial aspect for another.

Ainge sat it all out, like he sat out the draft and most of everything else.

Satoransky, Jordan Bell, Kaminsky, E Payton, Ellington, so many useful bench players finding teams and all Ainge and Celtics did was 6-1 point guard for giant money.

Knicks, terrible. Worse than Ainge, they could have been getting many picks to keep players for a season, but instead are handing out deals to nobodies. Portis and T Gibson or a draft pick or two plus G Dragic and another player?

Kings, they are crazy, they think they are one veteran away from a championship and are bringing in that player to win? Ariza? C Joseph? Dedmon? They have one strange GM. Vlade!

Warriors grabbed D'Angelo Russell just so they could trade him, to get something from the Durant departure?

Warriors and T-Wolves already exchanging players.

A few months from now, Teague and a draft pick or two to Warriors for D Russell?

No doubt they are getting older and fair to project some slippage even if Siakam improves a little bit. I think that is why 1+1 or 2+! makes the most sense if he stays. They should have cap room after next season.

Still not sure how reliable the alleged Lakers insider from Reddit is, but he's saying Kawhi to the Lakers is a done deal.

So lame man. So close to having a completely open field for the championship.

Oh well, just wait it out for LeBron to retire and stop manipulating the NBA. JT and JB should be in their primes by then

If Kawhi does end up going to the Lakers, Raptors fans should boo him when he plays in Toronto for the first time just for that decision alone.

Let us not give the Lakers credit for that.

"Drafting".

Bad NBA rules, and foolish people in New Orleans basketball, resulted in an elderly Gail Goodrich playing a few bad games for the Jazz and then the top overall pick being gifted by the NBA to the Lakers, for free agency "compensation".

Bad NBA rules, or changing the rules to make it happen, resulted in Earvin and later Shaq being able to go to the Lakers when they did, and when Worthy went there the NBA had to change rules to save bad teams from themselves. Of course, these days, Lakers just scam everyone and tamper and break many other rules to build a roster.

Strange trade rules, Memphis can't use G Allen as trade not yet official.

Utah wearing green shirts for the coaching staff. Does not look right, trying to copy a successful Boston team.

76ers getting Kyle O'Quinn?

They need depth there, as their only centers are very injury-prone and unreliable.

No Boban news.

76ers just threw away Anzejs Pasecniks.

He was drafted, 25th overall 2017 NBA Draft, by Orlando and traded to the 76ers. The big Latvian said he wanted to play in the NBA, the 76ers said no and renounced his rights.

This has been a weird part of the NBA, the 1990s Bulls did it a few times, so first round picks get "guaranteed money" but that isn't guaranteed?
