l'll say this knowing full well that that will trigger some sort of blockbuster deal ... but i think Danny is gonna go with the "Williams boys?.... Robert and Grant .....They are your starting front court...sink or swim...

Why not? ....We have all of these first round picks on the roster and while everyone else is running around crazy trying to do this or that because all of a sudden Golden State has been weakened to the point where they are second tier...Kawhi is headed to LA likely...meaning Toronto will be left holding the bag...And the Bucks weakened by free agency...that opens things up and levels the playing field for contention in the East....what better way to advance our youngsters than to play them?

I'm still hopeful that the other shoe to drop in the Rozier sign and trade is we get WCS from the Kings to start at the 5...

Beyond that, play the kids and let the chips fall where they may... It will be fun watching the Williams boys learn and develop....

I would have killed Ainge for signing Kanter a year ago, but slow bigs did very well in the most recent playoffs. Lopez, Embiid, Gasol, Kanter all had significant roles.

The converse of that is that guys like Al aren't as valuable. It could be a one year anomaly, but I tend to think there's been a real shift.

Kanter = offense
Williams = defense
Gives Celts two different looks. Williams will have to play a big role, as Kanter can't guard perimeter, and Williams can. Important during close games and in the playoffs.

Kanter it is. I guess he's the best available big left anyways. There's our starting center (for some games). I hope he splits time with RWIII.

Danny traded Irving and Horford for Kemba and kanter.

That's basically the sum of it as of now and I really doubt anyone would of said yes to this prior to last week.

What's with all the negativity?

We have 2 young guys who can take a huge step forward this year. They're given the keys to the castle. Kemba is a great leader and will create a team first environment. Hayward is surely going to look better. All we need is a capable big to compete. Anyone like Kanter could be fine.

Plenty to look forward to.

I'm relatively happy with Kanter. He's the best we could ask for currently, tbh.
