He's hated by others, is a complete lefty shill, is a completely lazy interviewer, just read the critiques on Twitter and represents the
the Globe, a journalistic embarrassment.

Oh okay you just dislike his politics lol, same for the Globe. You can’t separate that from sports takes, that’s a shame.

To pretty much every local and national writer, he’s held in extremely high regard, and has been a mentor for plenty. But if you rather care what the blue checkmark crowd thinks, more power to you.

SOSH loves Finn, who’s a member there. FWIW

I can separate the politics, Mr.Comedian. Big fan of Bob Ryan and he's at 180 degrees from me in the political spectrum. I even see merit in Dan Shaughnessy, and Washburn covering the Celtics is great; like their backup guys too. And if you're going to critique me,
you have this disdain for Boston Sports Talk that you can't separate. Certainly, it's not the best these days; was much better in the
past during the Golden Age of Boston Sports Talk radio, still there is merit to a lot of the non Felgar, Masserotti, most Sportshub
fill ins who are awful. I especially like Joe Murray and Cerrone Battle. Joe is Ted Sarandis's replacement I think for Late Night
and Cerrone is really knowledgeable about basketball. He really can analyze winning and losing situations and how they arise.

Chad, so hated on Twitter because he is an hack's hack, is a broken clock.
But even a broken clock is right two times a day.
Maybe they won't do any major or minor deals since the pickings are slim and the
chemistry - well,it's some of the best chemistry we've seen for a Celtics team - it's very pleasant.

He’s one of the most respected members of the Boston media lol. You gotta be trolling on this one.

In a case of stunning irony, he’s actually right on this one. Finn is garbage

Marshall would be a good pickup, not a fan of Konchar. I would really like Kenrich Williams but OKC is not going to trade him.

why would the c's give up a protected first for a guy averaging 3 points per game on 35% shooting?

They won’t. Players Brad’s given up a 1st for: Horford, Brogdon, White, Holiday. All starter calibre players. All on multi-year deals or indicated intention to extend.

EDIT: Forgot about Walsh + however many future 2nds.

A protected first for Konchar and 25 second round picks.

On a serious note, Marshall might be the best actual guy they can land without the much more complicated scenarios we’ve all discussed. Didn’t think he’d be available as NO has been competitive lately but seems like people think he may be so if that works it’s good with me.

Didn’t know much about him but he seems totally okay so my seal of approval!

Marshall is a member at the prestigious 50/30/78 club.

Again on a more serious note I do think the team likes guys with a combined high 3PTAr and FTr. Haven’t seen it mentioned but I’d bet it’s a handy short hand assessment.

On this one point (I hacked your nice post), there is some real talent there! I've been on the Moody wagon, but most of these guys will likely stay put or go out in deals that are bigger than the Celtics can do now.

I want to put a tentative plug for Patrick Williams, though, because he has been one player in the past 5 or so drafts that I completely whiffed on. 2020: Patrick Williams, Tyrese Haliburton, Onyeka Okongwu, Tyrese Maxey were guys that I hoped would be available at 14. Because of need, I had Williams a bit higher than Hali, but Williams was gone by 4th pick.

I still think Pat is going to be a player. Not Haliburton level, but decent. I don't get it. Does he need a change of scenery? Shot too broken?

I'd put him in the Moody level for fit on Celtics, but he's such a risk. Any other Pat Williams fans out there? I have a feeling he is going to get moved and suddenly blossom --The Markanen effect. Chicago is inept.

Pat Will's shot isn't broken. It looks like he's consistently been around 40% from 3 each year in the league.

But his D-rating and D-BPM haven't been great over the past couple years, his rebounding % hasn't been very good for PF. PPG has not been high at all for the amount of mins he plays, and has not exactly been improving at a rapid pace each year. The 3 FG% seems to be the only thing that has been good.

Seems like a guy who could definitely use a change of scenery..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

The 2 2nds for Marshall would be OK, but why does NO want to move on from him?

He doesn't take a lot of three's but yeah, he's hitting them at a good clip.

Thing is, he was touted as being a defensive force to some degree, coming in. I remember Kawhi-Lite: similar build with a little less length.

He's listed as a PF, but is 6'7, 215lb. I wish we could borrow him for a ten-day contract and just see what he could do in 10 minutes a game filling in for the Jays, with the Celtics offense. More of a tweener/swing than a PF, like JT.

It it's more a mental thing, maybe the change of scenery is worth a shot. Chicago is not out of it, so I doubt they will move him tho

Interesting.

I'm kind of out on Konchar for now since his shooting has been so bad (29% on the season. 0/7 over his last 8 games, 1/12 over his last 9 games). Good defense and good connective passing. But as I posted a few weeks ago, he's had some lingering injuries over the past couple of years and it seems like perhaps those are affecting his shooting and overall play.

Naji Marshall is interesting, though. If we can get him for just a couple of 2nd rounders, I would probably be all in on that. The numbers with him that I like:

-38% from 3 this season
-Rebounding % is 11% this season which is very good for a wing
-7'0.75" wingspan

25 yrs old. Turns 26 in a few days so right in his prime, approaching his peak (which could explain the jump in 3 FG% this season).

Pelicans are in the playoff hunt so I don't think they would just give him to us for 2nd rounders. Perhaps a 3 team deal where the 3rd team gets picks/filler, we get Marshall and Pelicans get like a backup PG or a backup center or something.

I agree. Our rotation is super solid. Let's get that Championship!

guards: White, Holiday, Pritchard
wings: Tatum, Brown, Hauser, Brissett
bigs: Porzingis, Horford, Kornet (+ Queta?)

Ahhh... so that's what the b stands for. Good to know. :P

Definitely seems the most likely thing is nada and buyout guy or Queta conversion. Brad did his homework early this summer. #bisbradbeingdone.
