Ainge wanted a Kyrie-AD duo in Boston in 2020.
Was not able to get it done.

Dallas was able to make a Kyrie-AD duo happen.
But injury will delay that duo from taking flight in the short term.

Ky will be 33 this month.

AD will turn 32 next week.

Guess it will be a 2 to 3-year window for that duo.

All that masterful scoring and no trips to the conference finals yet.

I think it's the other way around.

It's SGA who should take note on how to be inefficient and still be able to win a championship.

The difference is SGA is trying to win using his indivudual talent.

JT is done with that.

Right now JT is more dependent on his teammates.
That's why the assist numbers are up.

Until SGA reaches the finals, it's all smoke and no fire.

That might have something to do with that fact that he's leading the youngest team in the NBA lol

I’m not trying to get into this debate, but Tatum has lead the youngest team to the ECF IIRC. Don’t quote me, but I know for sure if it wasn’t the youngest it was top 3. People forget hospital Celtics and the past. Imagine getting past LBJ those last 3 minutes with rookie Tatum, 2nd year JB, rookie(?) Rozier, and 3rd year(?) Smart. Would have been one of the youngest teams ever in the finals. This young thing they keep crediting SGA for is WONDERFUL, but Tatum already did it.

By the time Kyrie is back, then AD will be hurt. Total disaster in Dallas. Hopefully new owners don't come into Boston and screw things up like the situation in Dallas.

SGA has a lot to do over the next 5 months to be on Tatum's level. People treat him like he's only 22 or something.
Hugo! Hugo!! Hugo!!! :)

The Mavs took on Karma and lost. Their best break will come after Nico is fired and the NBA takes a break from Draft-Fixing for
the Spurs and awards the Mavs a Top Pick three years down the line. Until then, Free Fall,Baby!

Looks like it will be OKC and 3 former champs, Lakers, Nuggets, and Warriors, will be the contenders in the west.

The Mavs were really intriguing with AD and Kyrie.

Honestly, I'm half expecting them to waive the 'white flagg' for the rest of the season and jump up to number 1 in this years draft

Last time the Mavs tanked, they got Dereck Lively.

Mavs fans don't deserve what's happening in Dallas. But Nico Harrison should be launched into Mars for giving life to the already-dead Lakers.

Nico's only hope now is getting Cooper Flagg.

Like I said in the JT disrespect thread - replace SGA with JT - who wins the title?
My guess - OKC
This is a testament to how good is JT in making his team better

Dummy who trades a guy who’s still not even in his prime years for a 31 year old injured player.

Celtics have Wizards 2nd rounder, right now sitting at #31. However, Washington is 2-2 in the last four playing Khris Middleton 24 mpg and Marcus Smart 20mpg. Tonight Wiz face Utah Jazz who are 4 games in the win column away from worst record.

Washington needs to get their crap together and Lose This Game. I want pick #31. I don’t want #32, 33 or 34 …

Per NBA PR, Cavs can clinch a playoff spot today. That would be their 62nd game eclipsing what Celtics did last season when they clinched a playoff spot by their 65th game.

I believe the Celts clinch a play-in spot with a win tonight.

WIZ won which is bad for us.

Washington is 3–2 in its last 5 games, playing Smart and Middleton +40 mins combined. Washington has 12 wins now. Utah, Charlotte, and New Orleans are in the area at 14, 15, 17 wins. There’s 20 games left and Charlotte may not win another game.

I think our prized #31 pick is heading for #32, 33 or 34 … hate to see it, hate to say it…

Can’t stand the Cavs. They’re gonna be tough to beat if the Celtics don’t bring their best.

Guess you're just going to have to accept the fact that the Celtics are not beating the Cavs this season.

Rooting for the Knicks tonight, while self-flagellating with a whip.

Return to Boston Celtics
