I think the best case scenario is this.

LAC gets: Johnson, Gay, Mickey, Holland, Mem pick, BOS top 20 protected 2018 pick
SAC gets: Rozier,mYoung, Hunter, Leunen
BOS gets: Griffin, Pierce

Presti gives a discount + Westbrook non agreement to extension, BRK 18 (not 17), No Brown. LAC pick pick

BOS gets: RWB
OKC gets: Smart, Jerebko, Zeller, Hunter, BKN 18

It never ceases to amaze me how big NBA players are. The ball looks tiny in Crowder's hand.

Best case for Boston. LAC isn't giving up Griffin for two picks with protections attached.

Think I'm one in a very small minority that feels acquiring Westbrook and Griffin is a really bad idea on many levels. And I'm not usually one to complain about any of Ainge's moves.

That was my point, best for Boston :) Think Boston unprotected or MEM pick could make Clippers go ahead. Have to consider also Griffin cant seem to stay healthy, his injuries last few years even in preseason the year he was drafted, too big a risk.

I was sitting behind the Celtics' bench for game 5 vs the Cavs in 2010. Got there early to watch warmups etc... Sheed and Big Baby were lingering about 20 feet from us and we were in awe at their size. Then Shaq walked over to talk to BB and stood in front of him and Baby disappeard. It was crazy.

Seeing Porzingis up close was ridiculous. So tall and all arms and legs. And I got to meet Yao Ming briefly years ago and I never imagined a human could be that big. Have you seen the picture of him and J.J. Watt? Watt is a big dude and Yao makes him look like a child.

I guess I'm in that minority with you. While Westbrook and Griffin might help the team in the short term, we would not be getting them without giving up a lot. There is no guarantee that adding them to our team would get us a championship, or that we could lock them up long term. As I pointed out in a previous post, LAC had a big three of Griffin, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan and still failed to get a title. Would a big three of Griffin, IT, and Horford do it for the Celtics? Are they even better than Griffin, Paul, and Jordan? Then factor in that we would have to trade some key players to land them. How would that affect our bench? One also has to consider the impact trading the Net's pick(s)/other picks would have on the future of the team. How much better would the Celtics be just one more year down the road, keeping the current lineup intact, adding a veteran free agent, and using the Net's pick? I think a lot better. The following year we get another Net's pick, plus other picks. A little bit of patience could really pay off. In the meantime, we have a very competitive, young team with great chemistry.
