The Celtics' summer entry will only play in Orlando; the franchise decided to drop out of the Las Vegas summer league after participating in both last year.

2013 Orlando Pro Summer League, Boston Celtics schedule

Sunday, July 7 at 11 a.m. – Boston vs. Orlando
Monday, July 8 at 3 p.m. – Boston vs. Detroit
Tuesday, July 9 at 11 a.m. – Boston vs. Indiana
Wednesday, July 10 at 3 p.m. – Boston vs. Houston
Friday, July 12 at TBD – (Championship Day)

Orlando Summer League -- Celtics Roster, looks as follows:

7-0, 255 -- Colton Iverson -- Colorado State
7-0, 238 -- Kelly Olynyk -- Gonzaga
7-0, 255 -- Fab Melo -- Syracuse
5-11 175 - Phil Pressey -- Missouri
6-8, 225 -- DeShawn Sims -- Michigan
6-6, 210 -- Courtney Fells -- N.C. State
6-8, 236 -- Tim Ambromaitis -- Notre Dame
6-2, 215 -- Darius Johnson-Odom -- Marquette
6-6, 216 -- Tony Mitchell -- University of Alabama
6-8, 220 -- Lawrence Hill -- Stanford

Las Vegas Summer League to feature 22 teams

The ninth NBA Summer League in Las Vegas tips off on Friday, July 12, and will conclude with a championship game on Monday, July 22. All participating teams will play a minimum of five games. After the conclusion of games on July 16, all teams will have completed three games and will be seeded for single-elimination tournament play that will lead to a champion being crowned on July 22.

It's unfortunate that the Celtics wont be playing in the Las Vega Summer League. Hopefully some of our new Roster additions can play for other teams.
We have three 7-footers; it'll be nice if any of them actually make it to the Court during the regular season. And Pressey, may end up being our 3rd string PG, depending on how this season is going to go. (???)

Why is Terrence Williams not on the team? He should be there getting poing guard minutes.

I'm looking forward to it, though not too much to see on the opposition outside of Oladipo. I wonder if Drummond will play for Detroit.

Thanks for the post, I was wondering who we were playing.

T-Will will be entering his fifth season this year. Players with that much experience usually don't play in the Summer League unless they're unsigned FA's.

Apparently, Colton Iverson plans on playing in Europe next season---so this will be our only look at him for now.

It seems
Because of injuries and circumstances

Yeah, the Summer Leagues last year were pretty good. We got a good preview of Sullinger.

Will be keeping an eye on Pressey, hope he plays well and gives us a young, cheap back up point option.

Hopefully Melo has improved and can have some big games and I've heard some good things about Mitchell.

Three 7 footers on the team is certainly interesting...

I am anxious to see Olynyk and obviously if Melo made any progress...also Pressey is a guy that I will be watching closely...

Kabongo and athletic freak DJ Stephens will play for Miami.

A long list of where the most prominent UFAs landed for the summer:

Is a subscription of some sort needed to access the streams? Also, I wonder if the streams will be available in Canada...

I don't think I'll be watching then. Maybe NBA TV Canada will show the games -- I'd need to resubscribe, but it'd be about $2 for the month.

Just so you know, I was looking for a legal stream, like there has been the last few years.

Is MOMO on the roster? I was really looking forward to seeing him play. He may not make NBA but I bet he puts up lots of points in summer league.

EDIT:
Yes he is!

Alex Kennedy ✔ @AlexKennedyNBA

Undrafted free agent Lamont "MoMo" Jones will play for the Boston Celtics' summer league team.

This is my guy for the summer league. I haven't heard much convo about him on the board but I think he can be good for us. His passing skills are Rondo esque and his handles are insane. I don't watch much college ball but from what I've seen this kid is solid. I don't know about his defense though. If anybody has more comments on him I'd love to hear it.

Good call Brun - as excited as we got about Dionte XMas last year, it's going to be that x 2 or 3 this summer with Pressey. T-minus 5 days until the first 'Start Pressey trade RONDO' thread.

Honestly: love his game, hope we clear enough of our flotsam that he can get an invite to camp with an honest chance to make it.
