What if Danny signed Chandler Parsons to an offer sheet starting around 9 mil per....what would Houston do--?

Match-? Lose out on Carmelo-?

I was surprised to see Detroit has a significant amount of cap space. Parsons seems like an SVG kind of player, if I was Stan I'm throwing a big eight figure salary at Chandler P. early on in the process just to see what happens.

Wade and Bosh opted out from their contracts too.

:o What seemed unrealistic may just become a reality.

Taking paycuts to get Melo to join them.

Bosh looking to get 15-16 million per, I guess Wade will get significantly less.

Napier/Cole
Wade
Melo
LeBron
Bosh

Heat are going to be one hell of a team again and definitely stronger than this season. They just have to hope that the Spurs dont reach the finals, because that team will crush them again even with Melo.

Heat playing it quite this year instead of the buffoonery from the Heatles getting together, but obviously they have all talked. They are creating an all time "I hate you team".

That would be a classic Detroit free agent signing- overpay a young player who hasn't proven himself to fill an immediate need. He can shoot, yeah, but remember he's playing with Dwight and Harden.

Proposal: in next CBA, forbid player conversation during free agency, it's essentially collusion. Kills the league, IMO, to have guys playing GM, takes the fun out of the process. Also enables the formation of super-teams in a way that creates imbalance... Like imagine Lebron to Cleveland, Bosh to Toronto or Chicago, Wade staying in Miami or going to New York with Carmelo. League's actually competitive then.

You can barely root for teams anymore, you have to root for GMs and free agents.

Melo isn't even meeting with Miami. He's more than likely going to stay in NY.

Scary thing about San Antonio is that Kawhi Leonard is going to be even better next season. Barring injuries, they should roll to another championship.

Woj says Lebron wants the max. So much for paycuts! (Well, except you Wade and Bosh, lol)

Bosh should really just sign with Houston or something. He's still has a lot of value as a stretch four, unlike Wade.

What? In no way would any of the players would agree to this rule.

Lebron deserves the Max in fairness. Wade should be paid the Vet Min and come off the bench.

I might as well say this now:

The Miami Heat will not win the Championship this season.

I hope Mrs. Kidd is staying at her mom's place this weekend, because it looks like Jason has been drinking again.

http://nypost.com/2014/06/28/denied-promotion-jason-kidd-gets-ok-to-talk-with-bucks/
According to a league source, Kidd recently approached ownership with a series of demands, including the role of overseeing the Nets’ basketball operations department in addition to his head coaching responsibilities. The source said Kidd didn’t want general manager Billy King to be dismissed, but wanted to be given a title and placed above him in the organizational hierarchy.
Ownership declined to grant Kidd that kind of power, which is rare for any coach in the league to have. The source said ownership felt Kidd wasn’t ready for that kind of responsibility after having only one year of coaching experience — the team finished his first season on the bench with a 44-38 record, good for sixth in the Eastern Conference — and allowed Kidd to seek other opportunities.
The franchise then was approached by the Bucks to speak with Kidd about the prospect of hiring him, and have done so with the Nets’ permission.

Prok and King must be laughing if he bolts to the Bucks. And this is obviously not good news for our picks in 2016, 17 and 18. Was really hoping Kidd was going to stay on that sinking ship. If he bolts for Milwaukee, I hope they don't hire someone competent.

This is amazing.... Keep up the instability Nets! Just gotta make sure King stays in power over there.

That's what I thought. Kidd must have got wind of whatever hair brained ideas King had for the offseason and realized how screwed he was and made a power play. Good news is the same guy that hired Kidd would hire his replacement, and he won't hire a guy with the chutzpah to go over his head again.

We better just hang on to those Nets' picks.
