I'm expecting both Green and Bass to be gone before the trade deadline. This reminds me of the Rondo trade. Danny wanted a lot for rondo, but eventually settled for less.

I will wait for Woj to tweet this. Everyone and their mother knows Green and Bass are on the trading block. However once Woj tweeted that Rondo talks were heating up he was gone that very day.

To Green, Bass & Wright, let's add Thornton, Nelson and possibly Turner to the list. Go Danny Go.

I expect roughly the same return for Jeff as the Celtics got for Rondo (late first + serviceable / flippable player + young / low level prospect). I expect the Celtics to not find anything worthwhile for Bass despite wanting to move him, and either just finding him a home for roughly nothing or letting him expire this off season and renouncing his rights.

It's like Danny can only make moves one year behind the normal timeline.

I'm predicting Jeff Green to Memphis for Tayshaun Prince and a 1st. Prince then would be bought out so he could go sign with a contender, or retire, whichever one works for him.

Bass to a playoff team for a 2nd rounder

That's a puke-inducing return, but I guess that's what happens with Jeff basically an expiring. If Danny can't deliver on these picks and picks up more trash like the Jajuan Johnson and Fab Melos of the world, I'm not going to be very happy. Hopefully, by sheer statistics he has to strike on a few of these 1st rounders.

hate to say this again....im sick of getting picks. Picks in the late 20s are fools gold and apparently Danny is the King.

I don't know what you expect. Contenders (i.e. the only teams that would ever be in the market to rent a player for 50 games) can't trade away currently useful players. That's just robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I agree, I'd much rather have a few picks in the high lottery and some existing talent, rather than a stockade of picks in the 20s. But that seems like less of a choice by the team and more of a reality. We aren't bad enough to be in the high lottery right now, and we don't have enough veteran talent to make an exciting player-for-player move.

Larry Sanders is coming up in the wiretap again for being behind Zaza and Henson at center. Maybe the Bucks would be willing to trade Sanders for Jeff Green and something else of value to sweeten the deal? It helps them contend and get their young core playoff experience. It clears the path for John Henson. Its rids them of a guy who's talented but hasn't lived up to his contract. It gets us a player who could have great chemistry with Olynyk. There's a non late pick trade.

Can we get a pick for brad Stevens? I don't see him as a pro coach

If we can get Sanders for an expiring i'd be all for it.,hell i'd even throw in a conditional first. Sanders is a headache but he has tons of talent. Maybe Stevens can reign him in.

What? Don't you read this board? DA is a G.O.D.!!!!!!!! The best GM in NBA history, if not in sports history.

I believe in assets, not talent. I think the best move would be to trade every player on the team for picks and then automatically forfeit all remaining games and thus put us in position for a top lottery pick, which we could then flip for even more assets.

It's all about the assets, baby. I think we need a banner to hang from the rafters to represent each draft pick we've accumulated.

Long may Ainge reign.
