How optimistic is everyone. All the talking heads are saying they are glad the Celtics are playing the Cavs. Personally, I would prefer to match with the Hawks. I hate watching Lebron play.

I think we take 1 game with a slight chance to win 2. I don't know who's going to stop Kyrie and Queen James from driving to the hoop relentlessly. Scarey to think about.

Making it here in of itself is an accomplishment. The extra games that we get to watch this team is the icing on the cake.

1 is most likely. I can't visualize us winning the series but 2 or 3 wins wouldn't shock me. I will definitely be disappointed if we get swept.

I'll say we take Game 3.

I think we catch them off guard in Game 2 and steal one in their house to everyone's surprise. Then Lebron gets refocused, uses it as a "get on my back, boys" moment and the monster that destroyed us on national TV awakens to ensure we don't win another one. Game 5 we go down swinging, losing by 3.

Screw it. We win in 6, Platt gets fired, Love comes here as a free agent with Kawahi leonard and moolah moolah. 55 wins next year.

I think a "gentleman's sweep" is the most likely outcome. The C's are going to have a chance to steal one of the first 3 games, most likely the 2nd or 3rd in my opinion. I figure LeBron and co. are going to be relatively cold from the field one night and Boston's bench is going to have to step up and make the difference.

I wouldn't be surprised by a sweep though. They've just got a lot more top level talent and I think Kyrie and Love are going to want to prove something.

I'm obviously rooting for the C's to win as many games as possible and would love to see a historic upset, but I'd be pleased with them stealing one game, two games would make really happy and if they can push it to game 7 a la the Hawks vs. Celtics in 2008 I'd be ecstatic.

I keep saying Celtics win two games if things go right, which is a massive accomplishment. I guess Evan Turner wins Boston one game, while IT wins the other. But there's a little part of me that keeps thinking Boston can win this thing: You can't count out Brad Stevens.

Stevens might be the biggest asset in this series. The NBA is giving him multiple days to watch video, accumulate stats, practice, and game plan for one opponent. That's a scary notion when you really think about it. It's one of the things Brad doesn't like about the NBA: the lack of practice time. The schedule is hectic during the regular seasons. It felt like the Celtics played a ton of back-to-backs lately (7 since the ASB and 8 stretches of 3 games in 4 days, oh BTW THE CELTICS WON EVERY SECOND GAME OF A BACK-TO-BACK SINCE THE ASB). He has until Sunday to prepare for game one and then a day to plan most of the others.

I know LeBron is a nightmare. Most people think (myself included) Cleveland can still get better when Love starts to integrate himself a little bit better. Maybe it clicks in the postseason for them.

Here's what I know because he has a track record. Brad Stevens + Playoffs = magic.

If we limit the 3's and Smart/Avery can keep Irving under 'control' I'd say two. If not, I'd say we win one game.

I went with one game. I do think winning two games is moderately more likely then zero.

At least two wins is what I am hoping for since that will get some positive attention from current or future FAs.

I think we might win Game 1, that CLE's 3 stars all play a little tight. I want to believe we win a couple and I am still thinking about that Hawks series in '08. But the fact that Lebron is out there with this crew of guys very little playoff experience and a coach who has never been in the playoffs is really interesting. Smith has always been a disaster in the post season and that pretty much leaves Perk and Marion as the seasoned guys and while solid vets for sure not exactly game changers at this point.

Boston is in the same boat for the most part Turner and Bradley have some experience but there is no pressure on Boston they don't know what they don't know. CLE is in a tough spot this year, not necessarily against us, just in general they kind of needed a year without huge expectations like Golden State had last year and the are not going to get it.

If they call James offensive fouls, it goes 7. We might even win it. If not we lose in 5. This is about money so the NBA has an incentive top treat us fairly. My best guess is we lose in 7.

The brain trust thinks Crowder can cover James. This should be fun. It would not surprise me if we took it in 6. I don't expect it, but this is the Boston Celtics we are talking about and the Leprechaun is back.

So you're saying that egregious reffing is the only thing that's separating us from almost beating/beating them. And Crowder can cover LeBron? What's next? Smart is better than Kyrie?

... Honestly though, if we get a game or two and keep the rest close, on the big stage, it's gonna be huge for the young guys development and a big calling card for DA in free agency

Just play balls to the wall and keep em close, give ourselves a shot in the final minutes and trust in Stevens
