Jimmy Kimmel had “ the man show”with chicks called Juggies jumping on trampolines. He even had a game “what’s in my crotch “with chicks finding out.
Now he’s this liberal media darling. Ryan Seacrest cleared and shunned I read and then Kobe is given an Oscar and nobody bats an eye.
I wish Ricky Gervais hosted and started with a Hillary dig. I’d freaking pay to see the faces in the crowd for that.
The Man Show aired not long before the time that the current president was busy having multiple affairs with porn stars and nude models—not to mention various attacks on non-consenting women—while his wife was home with his new born baby. Yet somehow he became the darling of Evangelicals nationwide. The hypocrisy scale remains tilted heavily on the side of POTUS. Hollywood has always been an exceedingly liberal institution, so I'm not sure what's fake about the continuance of that tradition.
Stop talking about this. I will report you both and take it to the mods if you don't.

First time poking my head in this thread in a while. Didn't know it was taboo. Apologies and post deleted.

I have Planet Earth on DVD and it's fantastic, in particular the images (I'm an amateur photographer, so this part I always view with a critical eye). I'll probably watch PE2 as soon as I'm done with Cosmos.

Original Cosmos? I haven't seen the new one but the original is one of my favorite pieces of television ever.

No, the one that's on Netflix. I read the book when I was a teenager, but don't remember watching the original series.

Almost 30 years old, this song still sounds fresh and awesome. And Vernon Reid is kind of good

Planet Earth I and II are both great, all Attenborough is great though. Blue Planet II has just started playing on local tv here in Oz, it's amazing too. If anyone didn't see it, Kimmell got Snoop to narrate some of the stuff from Planet Earth II. The baby iguana bit is pretty funny.
As to Cosmos, I never the original series either unfortunately though Sagan is the boss. I love this track by a Australian band I've mentioned earlier in the thread called Thousand Yard Stare that incorporates Sagan's Pale Blue Dot into it.

I am procrastinating from marking. Here is some random Youtube fodder.
MCA rest in peace. I hadn't watched this since it came out but it popped up in the suggestions for something the other day.
There are a whole bunch of Muppets edits on Youtube. This one is pretty good, it also helps that its one of the greatest tracks of all time
Coffee and Cigarettes by Jim Jarmusch is pretty hit and miss, but the Bill Murray/RZA/Genius chapter is brilliant.

That was the first one I came across. It is gold.

I hate to give any credit to the knicks but their halftime shows are on point. They have booked 2 of my favorite bands to play half time. Spafford and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Celts should start booking bands for half time. Check out these 2 bands.

Recently watched on Netflix...
Good stuff:
- The Gift (Joel Edgerton,Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall)
- Wind River (Elizabeth Olsen seems miscast here, but still good entertainment)
Disappointing:
- Sicario (boring... plus Emily Blunt without the British accent is just another actress)
- Collateral (the British miniseries... great start, but then disintegrates fast)

Dude, I watched this on a whim and it was so **** boring. First episode was so promising, lol. If you want a good version of this show I highly recommend "The Night Of".

Someone here recommended "The Night Of" a while back, but unfortunately it's not available on Netflix here in Canada.

This is probably just me talking with my music snob pants on, but I just don't see it with Courtney Barnett (and as an Australian I usually like seeing a local kid make good). I find her pretty underwhelming as a musician and a singer, seems like a lot of style over substance.
Musical history is littered with examples of artists who fit a similar description though, so it is certainly nothing that would prevent her from having a long lasting and successful career. And a lot of people probably would hate a majority of the music I listen to.
