I **** up. Made some horrible predictions lol. We all did though. Pretty much all of my predictions were wrong, other than "Pierce thrives on the Wizards." and "Smart proves to be an elite player and immediately helps the team."

And damn Bows, we **** up picking Thibs for COY, lol.

It's a new season. They were able to add Pierce, Josh Smith, Stephenson, Wes Johnson, Prigioni (who just played in the playoffs for Houston), and Cole Aldrich (might be better than any of their past backup bigs but that's not saying much) in the offseason without cap space to work with and without losing anyone significant from last team's core (almost but not quite; pending Jamal Crawford's status). That's a pretty impressive accomplishment. Doc at least has to be in the conversation.

Agreed.

Maybe I was being too harsh. Falling short of each of Spurs, Warriors and Thunder is understandable, especially if one thinks Griffin is a bit overhyped, so that the Clips only have one megastar in anything resembling his prime.

If the Rockets take off this year I could also see Morey winning executive of the year. Rivers did a much better job this year of building a bench.

I've fallen into the allure of the Thunder, but I wonder if they may be getting overrated? Hard to do with Durant and Westbrook, but it seems like the other Western teams improved more than the Thunder? Clips got Pierce, Stephenson, Smith. Spurs got LMA, West. Rockets got Lawson. Thunder resigned Kanter...

EOTY for Doc - maybe, but coach Doc won't ever get these new players to mesh right, so the moves will be for nought.
