Is Grayson Allen Danny Ainge 2.0?

Say what you will about the recent Grayson Allen trips, but he sure reminds me of when Danny played for the Celtics.
Anything to gain an edge. Tree Rollins bit him and Danny got blamed for it.
He had that bad of a reputation.

Grayson reminds me of Manu minus the vision and defensive instincts.

Ainge was a better scorer, passer, and had a darn good bball IQ. He was vastly underrated and partly because half his career he was hidden behind the big 3 & DJ. When he got to Sac he lit it up. Great FG, FT, & 3-pt percentage.
Allen would have a lot to live up to in order to match

Grayson Allen is the player who will make a GM look silly, but it's TBD whether it's the one who takes him or those who don't. Biggest boom - bust potential in the draft.
As for Danny Ainge 2.0, it's not the best comparison in the world, but it's also not the worst. Something along those lines, yes.

I wasn't a big Grayson Allen fan, but in the games i've watched he's been pretty damn cold blooded. I could think of lesser prospects in the mid to late first round. If Danny goes big and trades the BK pick as part of a package to acquire a star, i wouldnt hate the idea of Allen later in the first round.

i like grayson allen, but i dont really see much similarity with ainge. bobby sura is a good comparison. with a bit of jj redick.

Has a little bit of Jason Williams in him, too. Maybe a little Gordon Hayward and some Bob Cousy with a dash of Kyle Korver.

Danny never backed down from people, but he did not trip people or take cheap shots. When DA was focused and serious on BBall, his face looked like he was whining or pouting. This caused some opponents to take offense at him. They might talk some trash to DA or shove him and DA would respond.

It's probably worth noting that Danny was averaging 21/6/5 as a 18 y/o collegiate freshman. Granted he might not have had the opportunity, Grayson didn't really do jack until turning 21 around the beginning of this season.
