If you wanna look at your early pre-season predictions, see here.

CrowderKeg wrote:NBA
ROY: Mudiay
MVP: Davis
MIP: Beal
CPOY: Bosh
6MOY: IT; Mirotic if IT becomes a starter
DPOY: DrayGreen
COY: Gentry
EOY: Buford

All-NBA
1st Team: Westbrook, Harden, Lebron, Griffin, Davis
2nd Team: Curry, Butler, Kawhi, Durant, Boogie
3rd Team: CP3, Wall, Hayward, LMA, Bosh

All-Rookie
1st Team: Mudiay, Booker, Johnson, Towns, Okafor
2nd Team: Russell, Hunter, Winslow, Anderson, Turner

I'll probably get two awards right -- Green for DPOY and Buford for EOY. All the rest I was way off.

With less than two weeks left, who do you think SHOULD win? Also, who do you think from the Celtics should be considered (not necessarily win) for individual awards?

NBA
ROY: Towns, hands down (he's lucky Jordan Mickey was semi-redshirted.)
MVP: Curry, hands down
MIP: McCollum (Crowder)
CPOY: Is this still a real award?!
6MOY: Schroder or Kanter (Turner)
DPOY: DrayGreen or Kawhi
COY: Pop (Stevens)
EOY: Buford/Spurs or Olshey/Blazers

All-NBA
1st Team: Curry, Westbrook, Kawhi, Durant, Green
2nd Team: CP3, Lowry, Lebron, LMA, Drummond
3rd Team: Lillard, Harden, George, Millsap, Boogie (IT)

All-Defense (I'm biased, I know)
1st Team: Lowry, Bradley, Kawhi, Green, Duncan
2nd Team: CP3, Smart, Crowder, Millsap, Mahinmi

All-Rookie
1st Team: Turner, Booker, Jokic, Towns, Porzingis
2nd Team: Okafor, Russell, Winslow, WCS, Lyles

I'm iffy about my 3rd team All-NBA. All the rest I feel are reasonable.

WHO YOU GOT?!

Stevens COY. I think he locks that up with a 3-4 seed.

Crowder has got to be top-3 MIP.

I'll do a whole batch later.

They will unfortunetly automatically give it to Kerr if they beat the Bulls' record. Doesn't make much sense imo but it's what will go down (fwiw, I feel bad for Kerr, he looked and sounded like hell the first half of the year, but I can't get behind him winning when he wasn't on court most of the year.

Not even the best record on his own coaching staff. If they give it to the Warriors just give it to Ron Adams.

NBA
ROY: Karl-Anthony Towns. No other real option.
MVP: Stephen Curry. Also no other real option.
MIP: C.J. McCollum but Jae Crowder is second.
6MOY: Cory Joseph. But Enes Kanter and Jeremy Lin could get it too.
DPOY: Kawhi Leonard.
COY: Brad Stevens, Dennis Clifford or Dave Joerger. I'll go with Dave Joerger because that team has been ruined by injuries and he's keeping them in it.
EOY: Neil Olshey. He rebuilt the team on the fly.

As for standings, I didn't post pre-season but here is what I had:

East
1 Cleveland
2 Miami
3 Chicago
4 Toronto
5 Washington
6 Atlanta
7 Milwaukee
8 Boston
9 Indiana
10 Charlotte
11 New York
12 Orlando
13 Brooklyn
14 Detroit
15 Philadelphia

West
1 Golden State
2 San Antonio
3 LA Clippers
4 Oklahoma City
5 Houston
6 Memphis
7 Utah
8 New Orleans
9 Sacramento
10 Dallas
11 Phoenix
12 LA Lakers
13 Minnesota
14 Denver
15 Portland

I was way wrong about Portland. I thought they would push Philly for worst in the league. And I thought Detroit would be bad as well. I overrated Houston (I was out on them a year too early, as I thought they would miss the playoffs last year), Chicago and Washington. And I underrated Boston. :(

I feel decent about the rest though!

MVP - Steph (obvious)
ROY - Towns (Kg's gonna have him a HOFer)
MIP - McCollum (opport knocks & he killed it)
6th - E.Turner (11-5-5 as a backup? Been great)
DPOY - Leonard (Dudes a beast)
COY - Casey (Brad 2nd, Scotts 3rd.. His vision finally makes sense)
EOY - Buford (anytime you keep your team for discounts & get the best FA, you win)

Didn't predict here, but I had is at #7 or #8. I genuinely felt that George back and Heat and Bulls properly healthy would hurt us.

Anyway... Awards..

MVP: Curry. Duh
ROY: Towns. I was so wrong about him. I thought he would struggle first year and this may go to Okafor.
MIP: McCollum
6Man: The Logo.
EOY: Buford
DPOY: Leonard going back to back.

If Steve Kerr doesn't tie or beat the Bulls' record I think Stevens gets it.

Pop should not get it, he did what he was supposed to do with that roster, get the 2nd seed in the west.

McCollum (MIP)
Turner (6MOY)
Curry (MVP)
Portland GM (EOY)
Leonard (DPOY)
Towns (ROY)

Agreed 100%. That roster is incredible.

COY should go to an over achieving team imo. Scotts, Stevens, Casey would be my top 3.

Kerr shouldn't win it. His team is only 45-9 with him.

I'm solidifying some early Celtics estimations.

COY: Stevens, has got to be in the Running.
MIP: Crowder, arguably.
6MOY: Turner, hands down.

All-Defense:
Smart, Bradley, Crowder.

All NBA:
Isaiah Thomas has got to make that.

Terry Rozier for most improved next year.

I can see arguments for all three Celtics for All NBA defense, but Crowder is not a top 4 wing defender (Green, Leonard, Butler, George, James) and therefore should not make the team (although he is arguably the most important defensive piece for the Celtics).

IT, as much as I love they guy, is not a top 6 guard in the league.

ET would get my vote as sixth man, although if I were unbiased I believe I would go with Crawford.

I did get bottom three in the East correct does that count for anything?

Should be closer this time around in theory:

NBA
ROY: Towns, dude is a beast scary to think that he might already be better than everyone's preseason GOAT Anthony Davis
MVP: Steph
MIP: McCollum has too much buzz to ignore, but I think both Crowder and Avery Bradley both deserve consideration
CPOY: Paul George right?
Sixth man: Turner deserves it although Andre Igoudala probably gets it cause y'know 73 and all. Jeremy Lin is a good pick.
DPOY: Draymond
COY: The entire Warrior coaching staff, Pop, Steve Clifford, Brad Stevens in the discussion
EOY: Oshey/Blazers

Bradley 6th, but 1st among guards...will he be first team all-defence?
