A little Celtics buzz
I'm not in Las Vegas yet (I don't get there until Sunday), but I'm hearing from lots of sources that the Celtics are being very active in trade talks.
Sometimes things get done in Vegas because everyone is there.
The word is that the Celtics aren't willing to part with anyone from the core, but they are more than willing to part with some of the young players.
If nothing else, due to the roster crunch, except to see some small deals go down. But the team is aiming much higher.
Also, Zizic is staying in Europe for sure. The team really wants Yabusele to stay in Europe, but he apparently wants the NBA. Not sure how that one will ultimately play out. A curious pick is looking even more curious.

Nothing concrete, but sounds like the same names we've heard before. Butler, Middleton. One guy said the team is giving a little on maybe taking Monroe back in trade. And the Bucks apparently like Sullinger a lot, so could be something there.
The best quote I got was "Danny Ainge is like that guy in your fantasy football league who keeps proposing the same basic version of a trade over and over again. Eventually he wears you down and you just say yes to get him to leave you the f*ck alone. That is how he got IT."

Gay has officially requested a trade, I wonder if the C's could be in play for him...

HAHAHHAA. LMAO with the fantasy football.
Thanks a lot, Smitty. As always.
And didn't quote you so that you won't be inconvenienced. I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of notifications.

I'm giddy about the backcourt depth though. IT, AB - Smart, Rozier off the bench. Don't know what to think of RJ right now.

The Kings are not trading Cousins. They are moving in to their new arena and want him there to be the star when they do.
Maybe around the deadline, but they have told teams not to even ask.

Another reason i feel the kings are the worst ran franchise now that billy king is gone. They will lose him for nothing because they think attendance will increase with them losing with a star calling the team trash.

Re: A little Celtics buzz
Thanks Smitty.
I would think Butler is also off the table now, till at least the deadline, with Rondo and Wade recently signed.
Guess Middleton and Okafor are the only big fish left to get.
Cousins and Butler staying put, Hayward not moving, Love going nowhere. The well seems dry for trade targets.
At least Danny is trying. Little he can do though if other teams want to be stubborn.
Westbrook maybe?

IT / Rozier
___ / Bradley
Crowder / Brown
Horford / Olynyk
___ / Mickey
Use everyone else to eventually fill those to spots.

Re: A little Celtics buzz
Kings' board's hyper-defensive "insider" claims half the teams in the league have called on Gay, 2 Boston possibilities = Amir/Rozier/1st for Gay, Bradley/Amir for Gay/Koufos.
