Just curious to see if the limited sample size has changed any of your minds. Was he your choice at #3? Would he be your choice now? Warming up to him?

He was not my choice at #3. I would have taken Dunn or Bender. Brown would have been rated as the next prospect (edging out Jamal Murray because of his defensive upside and overall upside). For me I have to say I am starting to get won over. For these reasons:

- VERY aggressive attacking the basket
- VERY mature person. Loves to put in the effort. Combine that with being super athletic and I think the bust rate is very low. If he doesn't reach his ceiling it wont be because of lack of effort. He is going to get it everything, if it doesn't quite work out like we hope, I can accept that. The draft is a crap shoot. This pick was a little risky. I like the roll of the dice on this kid.
- He is 19. 19. 19. And he has Brad Stevens.

None of the above. He was not my choice in the draft and still is not, but I am not unhappy with the pick either.

After all these years with the team, I hope Jaylen is making strides now with his detractors.

I thought Dunn was BPA but was glad Danny was willing to gamble on upside. Always loved the way he relentlessly attacked rim in scout videos and he fits a need and a position that is relatively weak throughout NBA.

I do regret missing out on Bembry and Prince.

My choice draft night was Jaylen or Murray. In retrospect, I wish we took Dunn and traded someone from the guard glut for other needs. That said, I'm happy with what I've seen so far from Jaylen. I think he's smart enough, analytical enough and seems to have the work ethic to improve his shot. If that happens like I hope & think, he's going to be a BEAST.

Where's the "Not my choice at 3, but almost immediately jumped on the bandwagon" option?

I like him on our team. Can see why he was picked. Celtics see him as their own Kawhi Leonard. His last two games showed his raw ability. If we continue getting stops, he is going to be so fun to watch on fastbreaks.

I think his jump shot isn't broken. Needs confidence and mechanics adjustment but he is a pro now and it will be fine.

again, I wanted dunn at 3, in order to trade the pick. If we were going to keep the pick, i wanted Brown.

Murray was my guy but, I was open to Brown as well. Looks like he could be what Jeff Green could have been.

I thought Dunn was the best pick at 3. I underrated Jaylen's athleticism. I thought he was like a Stanley Johnson or a Justice Winslow type athlete but he appears to be a notch above those guys. Closer to a Wiggins level athlete. I was worried Jaylen would be similar to Smart on offense. He clearly has a substantially better first step than Marcus and will get into the lane more frequently than Marcus. Not sure about his shot yet but i think I underrated that too. I'm pretty happy with the pick at the moment.

I'm not exactly "happy" yet and probably won't be until we're sure they're on track, but right now I'm pretty positive about both first round picks that I've seen play so far in Brown and Yabusele. And the word is that Ante is a good one too, so we'll see it all works out.

I've been his biggest fan since day one. I look forward to watching many people eat crow on this kid the next few years when he develops into a flat out STUD. Some of the comparisons people made for him are beyond laughable. The kid will be better than Dunn if he reaches his "ceiling" and I see no reason why he won't. Danny nailed this pick while 98% of this board was whining about not getting Jimmy fn Butler. In 3 years people will look back at that and laugh.

I'll claim to be a pretty big fan too. After the lotto I was thinking Bender but once it seemed that was not going to go well then I was totally on board with Brown. He's got major upside, the only guy in this draft who can legit challenge Simmons for the best player of this draft.

He's sort of a Kawhi/Butler type in terms of defensive impact but he is a better athlete and will be a guy who forces the action more. We need guys like that who can relentlessly attack.

I think I like him better than Winslow. JW has great feel and composure. Brown's athleticism is so much more exciting than SJ or JW and he's just as big. His killer instinct is often reckless and yet I love that about him. He's like a tennis player who tries for kill shot every time rather than safer volley.

Winslow has Smart-level defensive instincts already. Jaylen could become a much better overall scorer, but Winslow was/is immediately ready to help a playoff team thanks to his D.

I made the turn after Bulpett wrote that article about how he would show up at the gym in Georgia Tech a few hours before the games started, just so he could get some practice in. Amazing that he was only in grade 9 and wasn't afraid of going up against kids in college. Got a little discouraged after that one bad game in Utah, but now, I'm very excited about his potential. He's improved with each game.

I wanted brown or bender, so happy with the pick.

I'm coming around a little because I like the intensity with which he plays. But I'm still not happy because you don't use a #3 pick on Tony Allen 2.0 who will likely need considerable time in Maine to improve his skill level.

Me too. Winslow had a pretty rough year offensively. I expect Brown to do better. We need high upside offensive players more than another defensive stud with questionable (at best) offense.

Not my choice, but I wasn't unhappy bout it. You see, this kid is still a kid. He has lots of upside, his athleticism is top notch, sooner than later NBA will notice this stud.
