I'll get it started:

I talked to a bunch of people about Noel today. No one thinks his tweet and removal of some 76ers stuff means anything.

Most still think Okafor is more likely to go, since Noel is the more versatile of the two. But Philly does have a big of a logjam with Okafor, Noel, Embiid, Saric and Simmons. They need to do something.

The one things causing some to think Noel could go is that he's a RFA this coming summer. I guess we'll see. I'm not going to hold my breath.

And, FWIW, nothing has happened on Griffin in a month or so now. Just heading that one off before it gets asked.

Keep in mind that Teague also removed all Hawks information and photos from his social media at the trade deadline last year, but wasn't traded until a much later point.

There is definitely some smoke, but I wouldn't expect anything to happen solely on that basis.

FWIW, I don't think Philly trades Okafor. No inside info just my opinion.

Mentioned the other day our trade with Sixers should still be a possibility because they simply need to balance their team.

Horford and Noel is just a wonderful combo of bigs because they can play with each other and each of them can play C separately, basically having a complete fluidity between small and big lineups.

As with any deal, the question is price. Noel is an elite role player who can't change your franchise by himself, but he is the missing piece for almost any team. Imagine if Spurs had Noel, they'd have been in the Finals. Noel provides an excellent value because he plays like a modern big on D, which is way more important than O.

But trading Noel doesn't make much sense unless he doesn't want to stay or they don't want to pay him because Embiid - Okafor duo is still a skill-based logjam.

This is why Ainge was smart to pick Brown even if he thought Dunn was comparable. Our roster while fairly crowded, is pretty well balanced. Had we picked Dunn we would be getting 50 cents on the dollar for one of our guards. Which is where Philly is at with their front court right now.

FWIW, I tend to think that Noel removing his Philly picture means something.

I didn't like the Brown pick having watched a bunch of his games at Cal last year. However, his summer league play won me over and he fills a position of need for us.

Dunn/Murray/Hield would have just added to our log jam in the background and we'd have to unload one of our PG/SGs for quarters on the dollar.
