Imagine getting Bagley and Porter Jr/Ayton for our picks next year lol. Imagine having Bagley, Porter Jr, Tatum, Jaylen, and Gordon Hayward all on one team loool. My god this team will be set for over a decade of greatness.

I think adding Bagley and Porter Jr would be overkill with what you guys have. If you guys can walk away with a combo of one of Bagley/Porter and one of Ayton/Bamba that would be a perfect draft for you guys in my opinion.

true, but with Giles there was major concern about his knees. With Muhammad he was the top rated player coming out of HS in a really weak class.
Bagley is a monster. Probably would have gone #1 this past June over Fultz. Certainly, will be in play to go #1 in a top heavy 2018 class that's shaping up to be pretty special at the top.

Give me Bamba and one of Doncic/Porter/Bagley. Bamba is a Gobert-like defensive unicorn. It's crazy even typing that we have the chance to draft TWO of these guys. Any one of them are potential franchise-changing additions.

Yup hes more athletic and somehow even longer than Gobert. His defensive potential is off the charts.

You will find several draft outlets out there that will proclaim Bagley to be the best talent out of high school since Anthony Davis. We get to see him early and often at Duke to boot. This is huge news for our draft picks. Bagley is a lead pipe lock to go #1 unless he gets hurt.

Mo Bamba's first game at Texas. It's an exhibition game against an Australian team. I think he had 14 points and 5 rebounds. He didn't play a huge amount of minutes. Andrew Jones is a SG on Texas who is a likely mid to late 1st rounder in the next draft. He's also worth keeping an eye on.

Yeah two top 6 picks would be amazing, if we ended up with any two of Bagley/Ayton/Bamba/Porter/Carter i'd be ecstatic.

Probably Jay Bilas next June @ the draft:

"Bottoms up America. Bamba has a wingspan that would make even Rudy Gobert blush. This is a guy who impacts the game with his freakish length & athleticism. The Celtics are adding a game-changer in Bamba who I think will be able to step in right from Day 1 and change the way teams think about attacking the Celtics in the paint. By adding Bamba to their front court the Celtics are finally adding the elite rim protection & rebounding that they have been seeking since Garnett first arrived in Boston back in 07-08. This will enable Al Horford to focus solely on what he's become, which is a playmaking stretch 4/5 who no longer wants to mix it up with the top rebounders in the league. Between Ante Zizic, who showed flashes of being an excellent young player & now Bamba, the Celtics big man crew is set up nicely moving forward."

I can't help but salivate over the idea of getting two of these top 6 on our team next year.

Last year's class was talented... but it's in the most loaded position in the NBA, the PG spot.

I know it'll be unlikely we get both the Nets and the Lakers in that top 5, specifically the Lakers one.

But man it really could be the pay off we've been waiting for and hoping for.

I love seeing a draft with the Nets pick in our pocket and one of Porter, Bagley, Bamba, Ayton could all be unicorn building blocks for our core is just amazing.

Not that I'd spit at the idea of Doncic either, he just doesn't fit in as nicely in a perfect world. But if Ainge believes he's a cross between Livingston and Curry very well then.

Bamba is an athletic freak. His wingspan is ridiculous and he's shockingly mobile at his height. He also has a nice shooting touch and even 3 point range. He does have a thinnish frame, however. Still, he's a freak show specimen.

Yup I think his athleticism is on par with Anthony Davis if not a little better. You add his freakish wingspan and that is a very scary combination. He is actually putting on muscle much better than I thought he would. He was really really skinny just a couple years ago. Freakish potential on the defensive end.

One of Bagley/Porter Jr and one of Ayton/Bamba is a dream come true and solidifies the front court for the foreseeable future. Personally I prefer Bagley/Ayton but we really can't go wrong with any combination of the 4. Oddly enough in a few years we may be looking at guard as the weakest position on the Celtics

My absolute dream scenario would be to get Bagley and Doncic. The next generation Celtics could run out:

Guard- Smart
Wing- Brown
Wing- Doncic
Wing- Tatum
Big- Bagley

Return to Boston Celtics
