Doncic is a freaking killer. 18 years old 27/9 playing against grown men. Cant convince me he has anything to do with Darko.

It's hard to come up with a comparison for him. Not a comparison for what he plays like, but in a broader sense. He is so super skilled and playing big roles at big clubs at an absurd age. His athleticism doesn't pop explosion-wise, though. Not ridiculous to invoke Larry's name with this guy, right?

Rubio was very promising in Europe too....still a disappointment to me in the NBA.

Doncic can shoot, pass, rebound and run an offense at 6'7, 6'8 and he's 18. Rubio was never a shooter, which prevented him from becoming a big time star. I think Doncic is a tad quicker than Rubio, too.

Rubio stats at 18yo in Liga ACB :
10.5pts / 3.2rbs / 4 assists / 2.2 steals / 38%, 29%, 81% in 23 minutes

Doncic at 18 yo in Liga ACB :
7.8pts / 4.3rbs / 3.1 assists / 0.7 steals / 46%, 32%, 79% in 20 minutes

Rubio was quicker than Doncic and a way better defender.
Doncic is a perfect fit for Europe, but I don't think he will be a great player in the NBA.

Wouldn't take Doncic over Bagley, Porter JR or Ayton. Probably not over Bamba either. I want an elite athlete if I'm drafting top 5.
