I expect no moves major moves to be made. Minor changes to the roster, and that will be it. Oh well.

No moves will be made until free agency starts.

Nick Young is a free agent.
He declined his player option.
Just wanted to stay around for that extra day there without D Russell?

Wow, Aldridge just threw the Spurs under the bus. Wonder if they will be able to get any value for him

really like the day the Twolves had. They still have some $ in FA as well. If they get all of Pek's salary back to cap. They will have around 22-24 million. Plenty enough to land a George Hill, Holliday or Teague at PG. Could use any of those guys IMO, that is their biggest need at this point.
Rubio
Wiggins
Butler
KAT
Dieng
Bench is weak and need to tighten that up but adding a FA PG could slide Rubio to bench to help with bench support or add a vet couple of role players like Iggy and Patty Mills to strengthen their bench and add some playoff leadership.

Slick move by the warriors buying Jordan Bell from the Bulls. That guy is perfect for the warriors

AFAIK, we need cap space to sign anyone to an extension. What's the plan here -- get agreement from Hayward to come to Boston then trade for PG, sign him to an extension using remaining cap space, go over cap by signing KO/whoever, THEN sign-and-trade for Hayward? Is that even possible? Mike Zarren, if you're lurking, I need answers! Or Smitty... if you're here, some help would be appreciated.

Splooge. It does mean that one of Tatum or Brown or maybe both are gone for this to happen though.

It makes sense.
The Celtics know what it will take to get George and are willing to pay that price if it convinces Hayward to sign. Then they go into the meetings with Hayward saying, "Sign with us and we'll bring in George too."
Hayward says, "Great!" and signs. The Celtics make the deal with Indy, which is now palatable for Boston. A wing among other things will go in the other direction.

People are confusing this as a Celtics-centric thread. Maybe we could rename it to the original "Around the NBA" thread.
Here's the offseason/trade thread for everything Celtics:

Maybe it's like with Love and Cleveland where we get a hush hush agreement that doesn't get signed until FA. It's a risk but I trust Danny and Mike.

My only concern with signing both Hayward and Hayward is that IT, Smart and Bradley are all in last year. We have Brown, Crowder, Tatum, Nader all for cheap dollars so why spend all our dollars there and lose the backbone of our 53 win team at same time? Obviously, if you can lock up a superstar like George you gotta do it. I like Hayward and he can eat up a lot of the minutes at SG. I imagine that either IT or Horford would have to go after this season. I don't like the idea of 4 maxes unless all 4 are elite like GSWs quartet.
