Who to trade to clear cap space if we get GH?

Acording to espn we need to clear a bit more cap space to actually sign GH if he picks usL
"Boston would now need a series of transactions to create cap space for Gordon Hayward. The Celtics would have to pull the qualifying offer on Kelly Olynyk, renounce free agents Jonas Jerebko, James Young, Gerald Green and waive the contracts of Jordan Mickey and Demetrius Jackson (or trade). The Celtics would be left with $27.6M in room and likely need to move the contract of Terry Rozier or Marcus Smart. Trading Rozier would have the Celtics short $1M of a max salary a lot."http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19810138/gordon-hayward-picks-boston-celtics-utah-jazz-miami-heat

All right RealGM's. Who do we trade and for what, I think it needs to be Avery Bradley, we clearly are not going to spend the 15 mill plus a year he is going to demand on the open market and we should be able to get some kind of decent return like a non lottery future first for him. Jaylen and Marcus can play 2, Hayward can slide over there some as well. Crowder has trade value as well, but he is under a great contract for a while and brings toughness, I hate to give up on smart, and just Rozier does not get us there. What do you think we should do?

Waiving Zeller does not clear any cap space?

ps. This is the part of basketball that I don't care for.

I feel like Hayward can play the 2, Jaylen is more a 4 than a 3, that AB has two fewer years remaining on his contract than Jae. Jae strikes me as a better complimentary fit playing alongside two 20 ppg scorers, too, and I don't think his trade value is much if any higher than AB's. AB is good friends with IT and an awesome guy to have in the clubhouse, but at the end of the day this is a business and it makes too much sense IMO...

Unless cutting Rozzy will do the trick? I doubt that. But his stock should be as high as ever and I feel he is easily enough replaced.

Zellers contract was not guaranteed so it was already figured in. We still need to clear a few million more in cap space to sign GH

Basically, he was never on the books. Waiving him kept him from appearing on the books.

Well, we definitely have to get Creative.

We may need to trade Crowder for a TPE and (as if we need it) a pick.

Edit:
Or Bradley. Both are underpaid. So, we won't get a good amount, in the way of trade.

Sign-and-trade Hayward for Crowder

Trading crowder seems like the obvious move. Hayward brown Tatum and semij or guerschon can fill his minutes .

I could see the C's sign and trade KO and trade Crowder for more...assets.

I would trade Crowder

However, we aren't going to be able to pay Avery big bucks after this season so we may lose him anyway.. could be more beneficial to keep Jae and his cheap deal

Might depend on what offers we can get for them on short notice too

What is the time frame for all these necessary moves? It seems that almost all of this must have or should have been done before now, because Hayward has been coming here for over a year.

It is either AB or Smart IMO. Both are due to get paid next offseason and play SG, where Hayward should slot in.

Trade Rozier and Jackson (the latter is 650k guaranteed).

Bradley and either Rozier or Smart. Then sign and trade Olynyk for JaMychal Green.

Hayward can play both 2 and 3. You trade Crowder before your trade someone like Bradley, unless you get another significant talent that forces you to trade Bradley as well. Crowder is just not as good as many people think he is.

Rather trade Bradley over Crowder.

This thread doesn't give you the necessary information to choose.

Bradley and IT are expiring next year. We'll already have Hayward and Horford on max contracts. Even fitting 3 maxes will be difficult.

Jae is signed for the long term for about the MLE.

So based on the fact if we keep Bradley and IT on the team we're likely losing one for free, Bradley is the most likely choice to move now while he's on an expiring and you can get value for him.

I'm sure HOU, SA, GSW, and CLE would all want him. He's far and away the best 3 and D guard in the NBA.

Crowder is a low tier starter. But them's the breaks and unlike the super teams we actually have to play within the rules of the CBA as we don't have MVPs cheating it for us.
