Per Woj, Irving had a meeting last week with Cleveland saying he would like to be traded and that he NO LONGER WANTS TO PLAY NEXT TO LEBRON JAMES

THIS is HUGE for the celtics if this happens!

So no, I wouldn't trade for this guy. (I'm not denying his incredible talent -- I'm just saying that his reason for wanting to leave Cleveland kind of precludes him from wanting him to sacrifice himself for the team here.)

I don't hold this much against him. Playing alongside Lebron is not the same as playing alongside Hayward/Horford. Kyrie would clearly be the #1 option.

If we could somehow convert Isaiah plus a pick or two (Clippers and/or Memphis) plus filler into a 3-years-younger-better-than-IT Kyrie Irving, you absolutely do it.
