It's a common practice for high profile, highly insecure (or corrupt/compromised businesses) people to buy bot accounts or make their own fake accounts that defend them from public criticism. An example everyone likes to use is the pro-Trump Russian bots/fake accounts during the past election.

In this instance, either Durant himself or the program Durant's PR people were using made an error and used the fake tweet in his normal account thus exposing what he's been doing.

If I were an insecure high profile entertainer, I would hire other people to run my puppet twitter accounts for me so I wouldn't have to keep track of which account I was using.

Yes. No basketball players outside of Seinfeld are referring to themselves in the third person. He **** up and got caught.

Also, not sure why you think he doesn't give a **** what people think. The guy is making cupcakes on social media and shoes with the reasons he thinks people hate him crossed out. That's not the behavior of a guy who is just chilling and doesn't give a **** about his public persona.

I doubt he would purposely refer to himself in the third person if that were the case, "kd can't win a championship with those cats" and "he didn't like the organization or playing for Billy Donovan. His roster wasn't that good, it was just him and Russ".

This would have been funnier if it happened in the NFL so he could inexplicably get suspended four games for this.

Dude is the most insecure star I've seen in any sport. It's absurd to me how insecure he is, considering he's super talented and rich. Usually when you're famous and talented confidence comes along, not in his case. This is hilarious tho. I lol'ed.

His favorite player is Brady. Wouldn't be shocked if Goodell noticed this and suspended Brady 4 games and fined the Patriots 1.5 million and stripped draft picks for this infraction.
