Can you name two players for the Jazz who had a season of 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists?
If you look at Jazz players with a season there of at least 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists for the averages there are five names.
16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, very useful numbers. Only two names.
It shows how the player had talent, but also how they had little help at the Jazz.
Of course, both of those players are known more for being Boston Celtics than for anything else.
It isn't Blue Edwards, he was very good but Boston didn't use him well. Not Kris Humphries, who was good for the Celtics during his brief stay. Not Rickey Green, not Carlos Arroyo. Nobody thought it was Carlos Arroyo.
Not Al Jefferson. Obviously not Bart Kofoed.
Not Tony Massenburg. Tony Massenburg played for the Jazz and Celtics? Of course, as Tony Massenburg played for around 33 NBA teams.
Mikki Moore, Milt Palacio, Aleksandar Pavlović, Calbert Cheaney, no for all of them.

The addition of Hayward right now is similar to how the Celtics would have been impacted if Maravich had joined the Celtics in the middle of his career, and not at the very end.
At the end of his career, he shot the ball with some amazing percentages as a Celtic.
Imagine Maravich joining the Celtics in 1976, not that different to Hayward arriving now.
For their careers, Haywood and Maravich are both 44% from the field.
Both are exactly 82% on free throws.
Steals, nearly the exact same, per minute.
Hayward gets an extra rebound, Maravich and extra assist, and a few extra points.
After the upcoming season, Hayward will have attempted 2,000 more 3s than Pistol Pete. Due to the rules, and when they were changed. Maravich did shoot 10 of 15 from long range, so imagine that percentage with today's volume shooting.

Jerebko will join them this year. I'm shocked Fred Roberts never pulled it off.

Maravich really shot 10/15?? That's really incredible. That's not even that small a sample size for back then.

Maravich would be an absolute stud in today's game. He was born in the wrong time period.

I was gonna say Kirilenko since he fits the profile, but the closest he got was 15.3/8/4.3. On that note prime Kirilenko would be an amazing fit at the 4 here.

Carlos Aroyo, oh wai?
Good assessment:

Without using google I'm going with Malone and Hayward but I'll throw in Hornacek and Stockton as guesses too.

Guy would have thrived with the three point line. A great scorer. Also he wore his nickname on the back of his jersey.
