I have steam coming out of my ears, smoke coming out of my mouth and fire coming out of my anus from the hot takes I want to make on Theis.

One quarter of fourth quarter garbage time in the first preseason game of the season is not an ideal sample size, but he at least looks like he is worthy of an NBA roster spot and probably some deep bench rotation minutes to begin with.

He has the perfect skill set for a modern NBA big, he can shoot the three and he is a long armed athletic rim runner who is active on defense and around the rim. If he can still be effective when teams scout him a bit, then they may have found a valuable bench player who is earning the minimum.
