More likely he doesn’t even mention what he said during the Bucks game. Unless you say it that episode or double down week to week it doesn’t seem to matter what opinions you once gave about anything in sports.

It's understandable that the Celtics expectations diminished after the Hayward injury. A large portion of this year's success comes from young players making a leap forward and players that came from seemingly nowhere to being important.

Larkin, Theis and Ojeleye were not on anyone's radar when they were trying to figure out how good the Celtics were going to be. Yet, all three have been a large part of a win or two during this streak.

Horford and Tatum have been playing way above their expectations as well.

Meanwhile, Baynes really helped solidify Stevens' defensive structure.

Still, the Celtics have a long ways to go to get to where they want to be as a team. Shooting has been an issue, which it really shouldn't be. Injuries and lack of practice have hurt the team with ball movement and overall offense. Hopefully tonight they can put together a good shooting game and beat the Warriors so that everyone can freak out and make stupid wild accusations.

I'm pretty sure that the winner of tonight's game doesn't get a trophy, but it's great that the team with a 13 game win streak gets to go up against the team that is the consensus best team in the league on national TV.

When does our record make us legit?

I came into the season thinking we had a shot, not a great one, but a shot at going to the finals. When Hayward went down my expectations were lowered. Now I'm struggling to make sense of this. Plus the general consensus is that the streak is a fluke. I'm watching the games and we are and just not that pretty to watch a lot of the time.

But at some point this becomes real. Right now we are 4 games up over everybody in the east. Our schedule, contrary to Mr. Barkley's opinion, has not been that weak, in fact it was in the top 10 toughest last I saw. Scal quantified it last night for me when he said that almost everyone on the roster is performing above expectations. I would add that Brown and Tatum are far ahead of anything I could have imagined for them for this year. We are the best defense in the league by far. We have played thru several key injuries. We win close games, we come from behind.

I'm still not there yet, it's a long season, but I'm telling you I'm damn close.

Maybe if we get to 20-2, or 21-2 and tie or break the 2008 championship teams record for the best start.

Listening to non-Celtics try to explain this non-IT, Crowder, Hayward, Bradley Celtics team is like watching them try to unravel the gordian knot. 100% unfathomable.

You know they've given up when they just declare Brad Stevens a golden god who fashions wins from dust.

I personally thought Boston was going to be a mid level team this year after so many roster changes.
The loss of elite defense and the addition of Kyrie had me thinking Boston would struggle on the defensive end but boy was i wrong.

I thought Danny may have had too many assets and made the wrong moves but i have been watching the Cs this season and i couldnt be more impressed with Brown and Tatum.

Getting Baynes has been one of the most important moves for the Cs in my opinion. The Cs lacked toughness inside and have addressed this. It helps that Horford is playing out of his mind too.

This team is for real and have been awesome to watch. Stevens has shown once again that he is a top 3 coach this year.

Love from a Thunder fan. (Boston is my east team) things havent been pretty for us OKC fans so im glad to see the Cs dominate. Especially against the Dubs!

I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind...

Side note - I saw R.Kelly perform live while I was in the Army in Germany. Probably my most random live concert, (this or the Marky Mark show I saw in NH.) Lots of bratwurst in the sauerkraut that night.

Yeah, I think ECF is this team's limit. Cleveland has found their stride and are starting to look scary again. I was foolin myself for a bit too, but no way do we beat them without Gordon
