Danny had a lot of good moves, but signing Brad Stevens must be one of the best.

We never had the chance to legit tank because our team has always been well coached. We have always been a playoff team during the CBS era (other than the first year).

He maximized the talent of his players: Turned IT into an MVP candidate, rejuvenated Crawford and ET's careers.

And now with Gordon out, and with a 2nd year player and a rookie in the starting line up, we have been killing it early in the season.

Season has changed dramatically since half time in Philly. Did the “SMD” moment from Kyrie have more importance than we realized? Was that over reaction by Kyrie a sign of the fire that was about to erupt?

a lotta people forgot that jaylen brown was going to improve
they also forgot about tatum

they said all these guys were lost just for hayward and kyrie  this team right now is much more playoff ready with more legit talent on offense

The real dip in projections was when Hayward went down. Conventional wisdom was that it would take the team a good chunk of the season to gel, and when Hayward went down they suddenly saw it all as rookie-ville.

But Theis is a 7-year pro, Semi will be playing as a 23yo role player, and Tatum is a basketball prodigy.

That was completely irrelevant.

I think with IT, it was more about him being the soul of this team. With Bradley, I think people were right to be furious, dude is a great player. Crowder and and Olynyk were a huge overreaction.

Best record, best point differential, best defensive efficiency, 2nd in REB.

If you told me that after opening night would have called you crazy.

When we saw the bottom half of GH's leg jutting out in the wrong direction, none of us ever thought this season would be this much fun. It's crazy. Everybody's stepped up.

Stevens is going to the new Pop. He isn’t going anywhere for a long, long time. His coaching style just works with young guys and vets alike.

Mike Zarren will succeed Ainge once he retires while Stevens keeps coaching. I believe those two are the same age. Zarren is a CBA/cap/analytics genius that is also well-liked and respected around the league. Just hope no one snatches him away from the Cs. They could be the new Pop-Buford.

still true :), wonder how long this thread will be relevant? I am guessing until 2032....I am thinking Tatum will be starting to slow down by then, and Brown will be a surly vet.

some truth to this but the rest of the month is relatively soft as well....and really doesn't look bad until west coast trip jan 23rd. Looks like a conservative estimate at something like 34-13 record at that point...gets a little tougher for a while after that though.

Your are not going to play GS or the Spurs every night.

A majority of the games have been against playoff teams. More road games than home.
