I can't see how we win this one without Al and Tatum. These are not the Lakers.

With Al, we match up really well with Charlotte. Without, we will probably get throttled inside.

Kyrie will have to come up big here.

Baynes should definitely start to body up Howard.

need Baynes and Morris to step up big, and get some scoring / shooting from Brown to open it up for Kyrie a little.

This might be an unpopular take, but as much as I want to win this game and every game, perhaps they should give Kyrie a night off. Let him rest his knee, last thing we need is for that to be an ongoing situation or even turn into something worse. Especially if we are gonna be without Horford and Tatum anyways, puts more pressure on Kyrie to grind.

Call up Allen and Bird from the GLeague and let the kids play. If our win streak snaps, well, we can start a new one when everyone is healthy, hopefully before we play GSW.

Going to be tough to win with Horford and Tatum out.

I'm pretty sure the Lakers are better than these guys. They aren't well coached but they are extremely talented.I was quite impressed with them yesterday. You give Brad Stevens that roster and they fight for the playoffs in the West IMO. Walker is awesome but he's pretty much alone out there..unless you really want to count Dwight..lol

What I will say though, is that I can't see us winning this one without Al and Tatum IF Kyrie and Brown shoot as horribly as they did. Brown needs to be a 20ppg player while these guys are out..I'm sure somebody else will step up much like Theis and Baynes did yesterday, but we need the best version of him. Might be worth playing Nader a bit also for some quick buckets off the bench.

I agree. At the very least cut his minutes in a big, big way the next two or so games. Play him on the 5 minute stint thing they were doing with Morris. Give Marcus and Rozier some huge minutes off the bench..we got enough wins at this point in the season that we can afford to take a couple L's to rest some guys.

We all know that sooner or later the schedule and/or injuries are going to catch up with us. The odds that we go 80-2 are probably not so good, but if Baynes has another game like last night's we just might prolong the inevitable.

Kyrie-Baynes will get killed by Kemba-Dwight in PnR. Help/rotation must be on point. This isn't Ball we're talking about. Kemba is awesome going downhill. Dwight has had a resurgence this season too. Without Horf and Tatum, Hornets are a tough out. They might also get MKG back after missing three games. Let's hope they don't start hitting their threes. We need solid games from everyone available. That effort in the 2nd qtr against the Lakers won't do.

80-2 still in play though until it isn't. I'd rest Kyrie against BKN on the road.

I think we’re due for some hot shooting. Feeling good about our chances. I’m cautiously optimistic

Well Kemba should sort of cancel out Irving. Two great younger PGs.

The rest of their lineup is

Lamb
Bacon
Marvin Williams
D12

With Monk, Frank the Tank, and Michael Kidd-Gill coming off the bench. That's a really good bench.

Yeah this is going to be tough without Hayward, Horford, or Tatum.

We absolutely need one of the Brown or Rozier to be their good versions. Then just hope our backups grind like we do, make the game dirty and win the rebounding war.

Unfortunately the Hornets are the best rebounding team in the NBA. That'll put a fly in our typical winning ointment.

Should be a close matchup. Probably will be decided by how many turnovers we get.

Kyrie had a bad shooting game last night which means expect Kyrie to have a big game. 8-)

Stevens isn't a magician. The Celtics finished 25-57 a few years ago. He couldn't take that LA team we saw yesterday anywhere.

The Hornets will be an issue with the team at hand. Need Brown/Smart/Rozier to have their best collective offensive showing of the year. Need Brown or Terry getting to 20, and Smart distributing well.
