I give him the ball — TJ doesn't have the ball Markelle has the ball — and we play. I coach him like I coach Ben Simmons. We run plays and we run our structure and so on. And he looks good! You can see why he was the first player chosen; stuff he does with the ball, his ability to get in the lane and find people, [and] the hesitancy at times we see with his shot is true, it's real.
He can still impact an NBA game without having to shoot, he really can an impact an NBA game without having to shoot. That doesn't make him whole though, it doesn't make him whole. And finding what the next step is, where he can go into an NBA game and feel more whole than he currently does, is the timeline of okay, when does he go play?
Sixers now have two no.1 pick PGs who can't shoot for ****. Grrrreat!
I literally can not recall hearing anything like this before. It isn't like this guy had a Marvin Bagley body where you could say oh not that his athleticism isn't special he's hesitant and doesn't know what to do without having natural gifts on his side.
Fultz was in the Irving mold where he was constant dribble and shots of dribbles as well as change of attack in the air shots. The way he needed to play in the NBA he was doing in college. Lets not even forget he measured with the same wingspan as Tatum while being at the PG spot so even then he should have natural advantages physically for getting his shot off.
I just can't understand how this is possibly happening without a physical injury.
In the words of Ricky from Trailer Park Boys "this is ****!"
