This Board needs a dedicated Trade thread...

My real Outside The Box, actually the box is collapsing and crumpling into itself like a cardboard black hole:

Russell Westbrook to the Celtics...

At first glance it doesn't make a whole lot of sense and that's the key to its complete Outside-The-Boxness,
but let's say, besides AD; Giannis, Kawhi, PG and LeBron aren't available, which somewhat of a Superstar could you actually get then?
And Ainge has been interested in Westbrook in the past... I'm not putting a whole lot of credence into it actually happening,
but if you want a trade possibility from left field or completely out of the ballpark... here is one. :)

Kyrie > Westbrook

It's a close call these days, Westbrook via better health gets the edge - it's a crazy trade for sure, but was trying to think of something
outside the normal suggestions, actually was pondering if you could play Kyrie & Westbrook together?

Hell no. There is no way on God's green earth that those two could play together.

Westbrook is gonna be 30 next year just starting his 5 year/205 mil extension and plays a game that's as anti Brad Stevens as possible and relies nearly entirely on his athleticism.

Do you realize how much salary would have to go out in order to trade for Westbrook? Didn't he just sign the supermax? We would need to come up with probably $30mil + in outgoing salary in order for the trade to be completed. This is just off the top of my head. Too lazy to look it up.

Please stop riding westbrook's recency effect. He's everything the Celtics DON'T WANT.

Thank God we didn't trade for Jimmy Butler. The dude seems to have chronic knee problems. I hate to say it, but I don't think his career is going to last much longer.

Also, Andrew Wiggins stinks.

The Timberwolves still have KAT, but they aren't going to be the destructive force that everyone has been waiting for them to become. Not with that current roster.

All the NBA teams are terrible, except for the Celtics. That is why, on the NBA's big night for showcase games, the Celtics are the only game being shown.

Jae Crowder made the news again. If he taps someone in the nose and is ejected, his team wins. If he hits a bunch of outside shots and scores lots of points, his team loses.

McHale might be the Phoenix coach, one of six hundred candidates they are reportedly interested in.

Bojan Bogdanovic is going to have a huge game.

My "I'd rather trade the 3 pick for Middleton than Butler" before the 2016 draft take is fleshing out interestingly now (I wanted to draft Bender though lol).

Russ is the kind of guy you want if the rest of your roster sucks. He's a one man wrecking crew that can lead scrubs to a lower seed. I love his drive and competiveness.

However, he's also one of the lowest basketball IQ guys I've ever seen. I seriously doubt that this guy actually knows where his teammates like the ball. I don't even think he cares. His team added Paul George and they still suck. Also doesn't seem like a coachable guy. He is pretty much Allen Iverson, but bigger.

Trade for him and he essentially lowers the effectiveness of the rest of his teammates.

I haven't really seen this discussed anywhere. But Jay laranaga has interviewed for the Knicks job?
we will also lose Waltah.

Bickerstaff becoming the coach of the Grizz I think helps the pick for next year. Could come up with somewhere between 10-13

Gasol/Conley/Parsons could easily go down and they will continue to crater...... as they get older and i'm hoping that pick doesn't convey next year
