It really wasn't them they are about what you would expect them to be, the issue is the total bag of suck that the bottom of the Western Conference has turned into. The Pelicans and Wolves should have been 45-50 win the Mavs have no reason to suck this bad Memphis should be a .500 team. I am also not sure all of this movement is going to pay off for teams.

Two moves to watch are Harris to PHI and Barnes to SAC. Harris is in a contract year I am not sure he is going to be cool with getting 6 or 7 shots a game. Is Barnes going to walk into SAC and get 15 shots a game? These are two guys who are avg at everything else when they get shots and they go in otherwise meh.

I was all over the under on SAC props to them they have played really well.

Sac wasn't supposed to be around a .500 team till this point.

They are not supposed to be their expected W/L is still 25-28 but like I said with all of the underachieveing in the West somebody has to win games.

Well, at least they are getting annihilated at home by the Rockets tonight.

The Kings were eventually going to King. Harrison Barnes is the hidden gem of this outsourced tank. I expect the Kings record to normalize to well below 0.500.

The Mavs were way worse when he was on the floor this year.

Barnes/ Burks will make Kings better but not by a lot..they are both chuckers and do not pass. On paper it looks good, but will not in the game. I was afraid Sac will get Porter, so it's still good...as long as they do not make playoffs...12th to 14th picks, ok, better than 18th.

That could be partly because of fit - you also have to watch whether the Mavs make any trades in the next day or or are going in on cap space.

One deal I'd watch is Gallo to Minnesota - Taj and Tolliver's expirings, a 1st - would give Minnesota another scorer and shooter. Though their main problem is Wiggins, who has regressed as an offensive player.

Word is that Shumpert was a *big* locker room presence for them. Everyone can understand the Barnes deal, but no one is sure why they swapped Shumpert for Burks. The only thing Burks can do is come off the bench and create looks for himself..

Man, thank god they traded for Barnes. There is still hope for our pick.

Well below? there’s only 28 games left

People have been saying this since November. I love all the props the kings are getting in this thread though, even if it makes ur pick worse. I always felt Boston fans were some of the most knowledgeable

Definitely more than LA

all 3 of these picks are becoming bad scenarios for the C's. Kings have become a decent team and not the bottom 5 team most expected (its hard not to route for them honestly) Memphis will not finish below 8 and the Clippers just went full tanking out of the playoffs mode.

It's a good trade - Barnes is athletic, he can play defense, he's athletic and young enough to play "with pace". He's also got mediocre to bad court vision and his shot selection isn't always ideal. The "hope" for us, for the pick, is that the Kings have been beating expectations because they're a finely tuned Swiss watch of players and roles, and adding more talent could disrupt their chemistry in the short term. Joerger is a coach of the year contender, though.

The SAC pick is a disappointment - wonder what the odds were, when we made the Tatum deal, that the Lakers pick wouldn't convey and the Kings pick would be outside the lottery.

But it is rumored that the Pelicans want picks post-2019, which is the silver lining for the LAC pick.

Clippers just got much, much better by shedding Avery Bradley, who was getting 30+ minutes a night despite being one of the worst players in the NBA. Unless Doc actively tanks, I don't think they got worse this trade deadline.

Yeah this Temple/Jamychal trade made the Clippers a lot better. This could end up being great for the Clippers and Sacramento's picks.

Who picks up Harris' 20 a game, though?

Avery was as much of a negative on the team as Harris was a positive. SGA should see a usage bump, Gallinari if he's healthy will see a huge bump, Green should come in and be useful. Bradley is genuinely the worst player in the NBA at this point, I don't think it can be overstated how much better the Clips get by sending him off.

I think the Harrell/SGA/Green/Gallo/Beverley/LouWIll rotation is good enough to fend off the **** Lakers, **** Wolves, and the Kings (who have been outscored this year despite heaps of hype and praise).

Yeah, I like it overall for the roster composition and didn't think the Harris trade took them out of the playoff race - but the scoring is an issue. Wilson Chandler will get some shots..
