What will make us Beat GSW
Next year is our window but as you see GSW is soooooo stack went they really wanna turnt up, I be honest with the current line up I don't think we might over come a 7 game series with them, we will make the finals but I want banner 18, who you think we should sign or trade for
I would look to get AD and trade (sorry) big al - Terry R and 3 - 1st round pick , or try to get cousins or even lebron somehow.

Re: What will make us Beat GSW
We're committed to a Warriors-like scheme and roster plan. So we just need to do it better than they do. Irving, Tatum and Brown need to narrow their gaps vs. Curry, Durant and Thompson respectively. Horford needs to extend his advantage vs. Green. Hayward needs to beast, as that's our big opportunity for advantage in head-to-head starting/closing lineups. Our role players/reserves need to collectively blow theirs away.
Not ALL those things have to happen for us to beat the Warriors -- but a lot of them do.

Re: What will make us Beat GSW
I was thinking about this a bit back when we were playing the Cavs. IMO...
You need to be able to bully them physically to set a tone. Their two best players are slightly soft, slightly fragile. Perhaps nobody is better equipped to bug Steph than Marcus (Smart), maybe AB would do better. I'm not sure if we have an answer for Durant...Tatum might not be far away from being able to kind of neutralize him, but a physical specimen who can defend, a la Draymond Green (or Bron), might be ideal.
Along those lines, you also have to rebound and take care of the ball. Otherwise they feel like they're in control and they have too many chances to establish rhythm. Warriors offense in rhythm = doom. This year's Warriors team was probably the most beatable Warriors team...they often went small, Iggy was hurt, Dray wasn't always himself, and they didn't rebound well. They just didn't assert themselves as they often do. Next year's team is probably tougher to beat.
You need to be able to play simple man defense. If you run a more complicated scheme and do not execute it to perfection, Ws will thread needles and get open shots at will.
You study Draymond Green and play him for the pass, and let him become a scorer if you want. Without his passing ability he's nothing special on offense and while he is a good enough scorer to convert good looks, worst case the ball ends up out of everyone else's hands.
You need fresh legs - young or otherwise well conditioned. This isn't a Warriors specific thing, I think players seemed more fatigued than ever this postseason and I feel it was an indirect result of the season starting two weeks earlier than usual. Off days or not, the in season routine is different than the offseason routine, not to mention I think a lot of player were not fully prepared for the start of the season and were thrown out of equilibrium.

With our squad we need a healthy roster. We need home court, we need Marcus smart back and need Tatum/Brown to keep improving . With all that we have a shot.

Healthy roster, bring back the same team
Maybe take them to 7? Maybe not?
Hell if we did somehow get LeBron and roll out a team of
Lebron/Brown/Hayward/Tatum/Horford
with
Smart/Rozier/Baynes
off the bench we probably win in 5.

Kyrie is a more special player than Horford. I’d switch them.

That's what im saying , if we get lebron it would make us the favor, GSW chemistry already going for title #4 , we didnt even have a full season with our current roster and gsw are legit light out shooters which is hard to defend, a lebron or khawi or even AD I think will make us over the top, I dont want a shot to contend for a title I want banner 18

Kyrie is a more special player than Horford. I’d switch them.
Better individual player, worse fit. Less need for what Kyrie brings -- consistent scoring, iso scoring, clutch scoring -- when you already have Lebron, Hayward and Tatum (Brown too to a lesser extent) on the roster.
You lose a whole lot more if you don't replace Horford with a player of similar ilk/skill set.
Defensively, reload's lineup has zero holes and is also bigger/more switchable.

I wish it would happen, still reckon he's either Houston or LA bound though.
I just want to beat GSW so fricking bad.

I feel the same way. At least he is out of the east if those are his targets.

I think we can beat Dubs even without Lebron as long as we stay healthy. We already defend them well. Certainly would make it easier if you have the greatest baller on the planet.
I wouldn't mind having Kawhi in Rozier's place either haha.

Re: What will make us Beat GSW
Let's say they start Hampton 5. Horford vs Green, Tatum vs Durant, Brown vs Klay, Hayward vs Iggy, Kyrie vs Curry. That's some great matchups. Bench if we can keep Rozier then I like our bench a lot more. They have more shooting and experience, we have more athleticism in my opinion and a deeper squad.

Re: What will make us Beat GSW
We'd lose 4-1 something with the current squad. Adding Kyrie/Hayward/Theis and some offseason blossoming I can see us make it a hard fought series. Get HCA.

Re: What will make us Beat GSW
Probably a combination of a lengthy injury to Curry and a 1 or 2 game suspension to Draymond Green.
Even then a KD/Klay combo is dominate.
I also agree with Jeff Van Gundy who at the end of the game said the warriors will be better next year. This year they had too many Centers on their roster. They'll change that up and get any free agent they want to ring hop.
Probably an oldie but goodie like Lou Williams to come off the bench along with Trevor Ariza. Those are two old players that only have a couple years left to win a ring and can add some things the Warriors bench needs. They no longer need a Center really.
